Yes good shout, but not being screened by BBC4 I'm afraid.

At this rate The Lion King will beat The Epic of Everest, seriously though, can perhaps see BBC showing Lion King Xmas this year, given the Disney premieres of Xmas 2014. we'll see.

Ted (2012) Saturday 31st, 9pm-11.10pm, Channel 4

I like to see BBC2 launching the season of films and programming celebrating 120 years of cinema i guess.

we can bring back the best loved silent films for the first time since 1995:

We can have Buster Keaton first
Then we can have Harold Lloyd
And finally Charlie Chaplin

I like to see them coming back on terrestrial TV

Were there any trailers for Real Steel or Shadow Dancer on BBC2?

Apparently the version of the Evil Dead shown on Sunday was an extended version never seen anywhere else in the world. Anyone confirm?

I hadn't seen it before so wouldn't know if there were any differences.

Werner Herzog's Land of Silence and Darkness (1971) has its UK TV premiere on Film 4 tonight - 1.15am on Wednesday 28th.

ETA: oops, saw it's already listed on the previous page. It's in HD, so presumably benefiting from the Herzog restorations which were released in a Blu-ray box set by the BFI last year.

Don'y know about never seen anywhere else in the world, current rumours suggest it was the director's cut that suffered some cuts for pacing and few trims for the R rating, but it was definitely an alternate version not commercially available.

It featured some alternate dialogue, a few extra frames and a previously only discussed second post-credits scene.

The problem is that the music on many commercial releases of these films is appalling. I saw The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse and Phantom Of The Opera with Carl Davis conducting the Halle Orchestra at Manchester's Bridgewater hall and it was magical but that would be far too expensive for TV.

Well, it's the first American Pie to be made in years, and the first time (in a while at least) C4 have had Universal rights.

You do occasionally see some of the DTV films on VIVA late at night, but I've never watched them, because I couldn't stand the original. (I'm not a genre snob, I just don't like awkward comedy.)

If it wasn't part of the Bourne franchise, it would probably be OK. But compared to the other Bourne films it's a bit crap and very stupid but still somewhat enjoyable.

However, I'd like to question the films descent into sci-fi. I think I'd prefer to have no answer at all, than the answers they gave.

Moonrise Kingdom (2012), 11.05pm-12.40am, Sunday 22nd February, Channel 4

Could have put this on at 10pm but I guess a repeat of a comedy programme from Friday is more important.

Anyone knows if The Invisible Kid (1988) with Jay Underwood or Eye Of The Tiger (1986) with Gary Busey ever been on terrestrial tv.

Why would they have switched Silver Linings Playbook with Bourne? SLP may arguably be a romcom (I say arguably, I'm not completely convinced it is), it isn't one you'd watch on Valentine's Day
