Yes, apologies if I offended any posters who enjoy posting stuff about rights to films, and of course as you allude to the posts about the merits (or not!) of certain premieres. It's not all just lists of premieres coming!

I think there will be life in this old dog of a thread yet!

Even IMDB held back simply stating: "There is a short scene after the credits".”

I don't think we were supposed know about the cut's existence (or at least that there was a release quality version of the extended cut available). It should be noted that the director used some incredibly ambiguous wording when asked about the cut in order to deny it's existence, I think he said "it wasn't his director's cut" or that didn't exist or something really stupid.

I imagine Studiocanal screwed the pooch by letting it get out before any concrete release plans were put into place. At the moment, people seem to think it'll come out when Sony gets round to the 4k/Mastered in 4k release for the US. (Although it was released by Filmdistrict, who have since been absorbed into Focus Features, so Sony may not have the rights anymore.)

Buried which is a film with Ryan Reynolds was repeated on ITV4 ad nauseum has moved to BBC1 for an upcoming showing for some reason.

No, Sony will be making the new Spidey films, Marvel just has the rights to use the new version of the character in the Avengers films. As a result, they'll probably be on ITV and not BBC1 like the other MCU films, which are distributed by Disney.

Viacom have to honour any deals signed before they bought Channel 5, so they can't just take the films off Channel 4. Same reason Fox didn't lose the right to make X-Men and Fantastic Four films, those deals were signed before Disney bought Marvel.

The rights to option books and comic books are time limited, so Fox almost lost to the rights to make a Fantastic Four film. They negotiated with Marvel to extend the time limit, which is why X-Men's Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Bit of a crap slot for Safety Not Guaranteed , it deserves way better, didn't get a big theatrical push over here either.

But maybe it will do well after 21 and Over.

Aren't the MCU films all over the shop at the moment though? Of the ones shown so far Iron Man was Channel 4, The Incredible Hulk was ITV and The Avengers was on BBC

The Incredible Hulk was distributed by Universal, Iron Man was Paramount, and The Avengers (and everything since) was/is Walt Disney. The others are formally Paramount, but were acquired by Disney after they brought Marvel and after Iron Man had premiered on C4. So who know where they'll be...

Digiguide have Amazing Spider-Man 2 listed as a premiere for this Sunday on ITV2 at 6.15pm, then again the following Friday on ITV2, highly likely it;s a mistake and it's the first one.

Not on my version it doesn't. Not sure when it last updated but I assume they changed it

It was, in fact, a premier on ITV last Saturday.

It was obviously the first one, they wouldn't premiere a big movie on ITV2.

The synopsis is the first film but title of the programme and cast list is for the second film, silly really.
