Mr Sir you posted that Riddick was on Channel 4 on 12th March but I checked on my EPG and it wasn't on then!

Pity as I really wanted to rewatch that film!
A case of Don't Shoot The Messenger!

I only post information that's passed onto me from another (reliable) source and other valued contributors on here - even with the best will and intention Broadcasters can change a film at short notice/the last minute (for a variety of reasons) and unless I'm monitoring EPGs 24 hours a day and subsequently coming on here and making a post informing of change (which I'm not and don't intend to make the time for - I'm on here often enough as it is!) then the list should only be taken as a guide subject to change/alteration.

Anyway it looks like the film was screened according to the other posts.

Yep, Riddick was definitely on. Perhaps Motthus can tell us what was showing on his EPG at the time?

Just seen Lincoln advertised as airing on Film4 on the 30th of March, Radio Times listings suggest 9pm-11.55pm.

Digiguide also confirms that. For an Oscar-winning movie, why relegate it to Film4? I avoid them almost all of the time as I can't get it in HD (shame as the alternative is C4 with the DOG floating in the middle of the screen)

I find Channel 4 HD's DOG to actually be rather perfectly positioned, if a little bright. It certainly looks and is positioned better than some other channels, like Channel 5 where is most certainly is floating in too far from the corner. If you have overscan turned off, Channel 4 HD's DOG is literally tight into the corner. It couldn't get any further in to it!

I was embellishing a bit before (C5's is indeed further in towards the middle), but I presume you mean if overscan is on, since I never have overscan off and it's not in the corner, whereas it almost is on the one CRT TV I have left.

So people watch Film4.
But generally films only premiere on Film 4 because they're not that big a movie, such as Byzantium and Bullet to the Head.

Because no-one but you sees it as a "relegation".

So people watch Film4.
Too obvious for some I guess

Not this time, apparently.

It's entirely possible CH4 just didn't think it would play well on a Saturday or Sunday night like their normal mainstream premieres and would be attractive to a more discerning Film4 audience... as excellent a film as Lincoln is, it's not exactly a Saturday night popcorn blockbuster or something to unwind with at the end of a weekend!

Just seen a trailer which claims it's the premiere.
The trailer says network premiere, so that implies it has been on another channel before.

I don't think it does normally, does it? Would be a pretty meaningless claim if it only meant a channel premiere, then channels could claim "premieres" all the time...

Doesn't seem to have ever been on the BBC according to Genome. Maybe ITV I suppose.

"And now, at long last, it's [Snow White] to be shown on TV," says Barry Norman in this week's Radio Times.
