I love that they get on well as friends, many of the HO cast seem like one big happy family

I am oddly hopeful that maybe tonight they will be filming. It makes sense, in a way. Ste running into Brendan in the dead of night and stroking his beard in a sexy fashion.

Oh me too! Though I'm now wondering what the point of Gilly/Lynsey was because it's not like they did much of a storyline where she was torn whether to stay with him or not.

I was talking to a friend of mine who's a Hollyoaks insider, and she basically said the new producer Garreth is a gay man himself and very much is anti-Stendan-being-in-a-real-relationship because after all the abuse, it's not right.

Wow. Not sure what to say about this really. There's still loads of interesting places they can take Brendan. But it would be really wierd to have Brendan and Ste both there, but apart.

I'd like to hear from GP really before I try and work out what his thoughts on the storyline are. I'd be surprised that a producer would be so straight-down-the-line in an opinion about a very popular storyline. Plus July 29th was on his watch so....

If he' so anti the abuse, he shouldn't have written even more abuse into the relationship, should he?

But I'll wait and hear from his interview. Cos that sounds like they want to present it as completely wrong and awful, and again, that's not how it comes across in the writing.

The big ILY and Brendan opening up about his past made me more shippy than ever.

Yep. I too find it hard to believe they can go any other way with the story. In any sense, even if Ste and Brendan did go on to have other stories of their own... there's always gonna have to be times when they need each other, surely? They could always carry on the way they are now, never 'official', but always in love. Not very satisfactory any more though.

I'm not sure. It broke my heart when she said it, more than I could have anticipated. Ugh. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm sure he doesn't mind portraying abuse, as it's important, he just doesn't want to condone it by having Brendan win Ste in the end. That's what she made it sound like.

He'll have to do an interview soon though. I'd like to see him questioned on Stendan and him HAVE to answer. Better than all these rumours.

Yeah if they've brought this story back with getting rid of Noah and ILY etc just to end it shortly after, then the new producer's playing a dangerous game with a large group of HO fans. Keep saying this but they should of buried this story weeks ago if that's the direction they're taking. Best to wait and see..........

I'm not actually expecting a happy ending with puppies and kittens but they can go eff themselves with a spoon right now if I've sat though a YEAR of this and don't ever give me them in a relationship, even if the relationship all goes horribly wrong down the track.

Think if you follow Brendan and Ste, you pretty much always have to brace yourself for heartbreak really eff. It goes with the territory.
