I love him so much Wow, 8 hours. He was doing them all last week and yesterday too, he must be fed up with talking! How many times has he explained how he got the Gary Barlow song, why it's taken so long to get the album out and said he's a rubbish boyfriend, I wonder?

I have my car radio tuned to Heart and WWC featured very frequently, for months, to the point when I was a bit fed up with it. Heart is quite popular down south. I haven't yet heard the new song on the radio.

It's very important that Matt gets some radio airplay because a lot of people (who don't frequent forums) won't even realise he has a single and album coming out.

I always thought that songs were given airplay after the song had been introduced to the public via radio stations so that it would then be talked about more widely not j ust the Internet. However I wondered as people cannot go an buy it perhaps that is why they are not playing it at the moment. I don't listen to the radio so I would not have heard it anyway other than on YT. I wonder what is going on?

Totally agree with this - its the key IMO. As Wkd said the commercial stations have alot of clout and I tend to think they were the boosters behind WWC. R1 were totally up their own backsides about it as usual and R2 wasnt a whole lot better. Heart was great. Thankfully - they have played RFYL and seem to have got a good response from the FB comments I saw :

I remember at the time that WWC was on list c (I think) which meant blink and you'd miss it. Yet it was in the charts for a good few weeks by modern standards. It sounds like that could be down to other radio stations. Plus WWC was a cracking song.

I love RFYL - but all these tweets and comments about other tracks on the album being even better is making me feel a bit frustrated. I will only now be satisfied when I get to hear the whole album.

Do you or anyone else know if theres a way of finding out who and how many times radio stations are playing RFYL? Also should it start getting played now or will it get picked up more nearer the release date? Airplay is so important
