We're acutally nearly 3/4 way through 2011 already! :O Meaning that we have had loads of music to choose from that would have a chance for the BRIT Awards 2012.

Who do you think could be the winners of this years awards? Remember they for some reason are quite biased only liking paticular music and excluding most r'n'b, hip hop or rap artists sometimes. But hopefully times would change. Still you should choose who you really think will win or be nominated.

I personally think that Jessie J and Adele will be the "stars" of the night seen as they are very involved with the awards show etc

Categories normally are:

Best Album
Best Single
Best Male
Best Female
Breakthrough
Best Group
International Female
International Male
International Band
International Breakthrough
International Album
Outstanding Achievement
Critict's Choice?
Best Producer?

Remember also that - apart from the international categories - every contender in the categories has to be british.
If you want you could add old or possible future categories like:
Best Video
Best Rock Act
Best Pop Act
Best Urban Act
Best Live Act (could be based on festival)
Best Comeback Artist

Adele will win album and female, and I rather hope Gaga will win the international equivalents. I would love Someone Like You to win British single but that's usually a vote category, so we can expect Cher Lloyd or someone like that win it...

Here are my theories. These are not just based on who i want nominated but who i think will. So i am not being biased.

Adele, Jessie J and Katy b up for Best Female. Maybe Leona Lewis, Laura Marling and Florence. Katy b could easily be snubbed for Best female but easily be nominated for Best breakthrough.

Katy B, Ed sheeran, Birdy, Emeli sande for Best breakthrough. I know Birdy and Emelia have yet to release their albums yet but both are due to release ready into for the cut off date.

Will young, James morrison, Ed sheeran for Best male

21 and On a mission up for Best album

Lady gaga, Britney, Beyonce or JLo to be up for Best international female. Although she hasn't been a huge commericial success, i would love for Britney to win it. Rihanna and Katy can't be nominated as they were last year and haven't released a new album in order to be eligible to be nominated. My instincts reckon Beyonce will get the award.

Born this way, Doowops and Hooligans and 4 to be up for Best international album.

Bruno Mars for Best Intenational male.

Someone Like you, Price Tag, Rolling in the deep as contenders for Best single. I think this is voted and the whole nation seems to love Adele and Someone like you so i think she has got that in the bag.

As much as I hate to admit it Britney will be snubbed as she is not 'cool' enough for the BRIT awards. Plus, they always try and sneak at least one non-American into the 'International' categories - just to make a point.

I think I agree with all of this, there needs to be another 2 in the best male category. It's easier to come up with the females!

Wait a minute, Olly Murs? - they wouldn't would they

It was "rested" in 2011 with no indication of when/if it would return.

If PJ Harvey doesn't pick up both best female and best album then the Brits are an even bigger joke than everyone knows them to be.

Critics choice award? Not sure who is out next year but there is mixed reports on if Liam Bailey is releasing this year or next year. if it's next year, i hope he wins. He is incredibly talented, has one of the best malesoulful voices around today and i predict big things for him.

I'd bet my house on Adele winning Female and Album. Would not be shocked at all if she won Single as well, but we'll have to see. Much like last year the winner of International Female will be dependent on who they get to perform live, but it'll either be Gaga or Beyonce.

Best Album - Adele, 21.
Best Single - Adele, Someone Like You.
Best Male - Example.
Best Female - Adele.
Breakthrough - Jessie J or Ed Sheeran.
Best Group - JLS. I'd like Noah & The Whale, though.
International Female - Gaga vs. Beyonce.*
International Male - Bruno Mars, unless Bieber is nominated.
International Band - Do LMFAO count?
International Breakthrough - If not, LMFAO.
International Album - Born This Way vs. 4 vs. Doo-Wops
Outstanding Achievement - Amy Winehouse?
Critic's Choice? - No idea.
Best Producer? - No idea.

* Beyonce has the Glastonbury factor, and she'll inevitably be a guest duet on X Factor. Gaga has been bigger this era though (albeit not by a whole lot) considering her singles, and she still has some up her sleeve. I think, if she does a major XF performance, she'll win people back.

Gaga has the fan voting power though, and tends to be rewarded for the ratings she inevitably gives.

Wasn't Rihanna nominated last year? Because she'd be ineligible this year.

If it comes down to a public vote then yes because people as a group are stupid. They don't vote for the best they vote for who they know

Adele will probably win every single award she's up for. Heck, 21 will probably still be No.1 by the time the BRITs roll around.
