From Wednesday 12th September, ITV moved their Night bulletins to 9pm bringing 7.06m, 6.93m and 6.51m. BBC1 had a News Special on the Wednesday at 7pm, which had 5.89m. Moving the News to 9pm was not uncommon for ITV, it occurred again in March 2003 at the start of the Iraq War, this went on from 19th March to 11th April looking at BARB. They also had a 9pm bulletin on the day of 7/7. The highest bulletin on the day of 7/7 coincidentally was 6.65m.
