Well done on the very early post on a Sunday, rzt
![]() A surge for Epic Win. Is that just due to the Strictly effect? I guess I'll find out when I see it's ratings next week. Strictly launch show up 0.8m on last year's.(edit: my overnights from last year, taken from Broadcast, was 6.8m. Others on this thread are quoting different. Whatever, it's up on last year by a healthy margin.) (edit, edit: just seen from ronant's post below that my figures don't include HD) I wonder if that 5.8m for the very last ROB? programme will secure it a second series. |

Any peak for the rugby? That 3m figure looks poor, but then it is over 3 hours.
Great for ROB, second series and a longer run please ITV. Please.....

Bad ratings for BB.
If RoB is renewed I think it will be a weekly show wedged between X Factor. |

Brilliant rating for the Strictly Come Dancing launch. A better rating than last year even though it had an earlier slot. This 'preview' show has become more of an event in the last couple of years due to the change in format and is more of a spectacle. That rating bodes really well for the launch in a few weeks' time. Doctor Who up from last week, but not as much as I was hoping for, because it had such a big lead-in and up against a weakened Red or Black I thought it could've rated in the mid 6's. Decent for Last Night of the Proms, back to normal levels after last year dropped under that 4m mark.
ASFF always seems to be dented by SCD, the same thing happened last year too. As I thought, Red or Black up from the last few episodes. TXF really does help the shows around it a lot - that results show rated about 45% higher than the last two days. It still shouldn't come back though, if it has to rely so much on TXF for a decent audience, then it's not worth doing again. I have to say, that's a poor rating for Jonathan Ross and it might be an indication of the kind of ratings he'll be getting early next year when there's no TXF around to prop him up. The guests might not have been the best, but it still should've been higher. With that said, it'll go back up next week once it has TXF lead-in. The Big Brother rating is very disappointing. I think as long as it can average 1.5-2.0m in the overnights during the series, it'll have done a decent job. But perhaps running this series so close to CBB wasn't a wise idea, as it meant that the BB launch didn't get its own week or two of promotion like usual. Million Pound Drop has been on the low side the last 2 episodes, but I suspect it'll be back up to near 2m next week once Red or Black is gone. |

Thanks rzt.
That's a bit better for ROB-I didn't expect it to be comfortably over 5m for the results show tbh. The shows Saturday ratings show it definitely has potential for a weekly show with a lower prize limit. . Quote:

21:00- 71 Degrees North: 4.82m (22.1%) The removal of The X factor lead out and decent opposition sees Family Fortunes ratings fall by around 50% |

Pretty poor for BB admittedly and disappointing considering the strength of the episode. But it was only 200k down on CBB this time last week so that could mean ratings of around 1.8M-2.0M for non Saturday highlights shows. It got lost in a sea of old skewing US drama repeats last night whilst other channels were chasing young viewers more aggressively. Let's see what happens next week when boxing makes a welcome return to Channel 5.

ROB obviously did better because of One Direction performing.

Something for everyone to brag about. Doctor Who beat Ant & Dec, The X Factor topped the night, Last Night Of The Proms beat Jonathan Ross, Red Or Black's results show was up last night, Strictly had a strong launch and Robbie Sykes & George S are going to bury the hatchet and buy a house.
One of those statements is a lie!

Red or Black did OK and 4.6 million is decent considering the LE flops ITV have had over the summer. If it is to be recommissioned, though, no dominating the schedule with it and it would do better as a weekly show.
Excellent for the rugger, ITV1 had five times as many viewers in this slot than normal. |

I would guess 5/6m for a peak.
Looks like ITV might be pinning their RWC hopes on Wales looking at their current performance compared to England yesterday... |
