Graduation itself is great... it's what comes after that causes the severe depression and floods of tears! I still get the sniffles when I look at old photos and videos ”

Christmas should be fun, I finished my xmas shopping today What does your job involve? Yeah I can imagine it's hard to adjust. I remember when I first went to uni I found it so difficult for the first few weeks and just wanted to go home and that's just a small student town! I'm sure you'll make plenty of friends over time though! What are your work colleagues like?

BTW watching Guerra De Titanes, the minis match was as usual great but a bit abrupt. Just going on to see Sexiful become the Reina de Reinas for the 2nd time

Oh yeah I hope so anyway, I usually watch the Factor but hope for the winners to fail, but this year I genuinely supported LM and was genuinely happy to see a girlband do so well

What's your plans for the dreaded 25th?

Yeah it was nice to see a girlband win. I must admit I wasn't so keen on them at first but they slowly grew on me and in the last couple of weeks I really wanted them to win. I must also admit I liked Matt Cardle last year and supported him when he won, but his debut album sucks!

Haha umm well I think we're having a family gathering at my auntie's... fun fun... it gets a bit tedious as people ask you the same questions 'how's uni going?' 'have you got a girlfriend yet?' ... the official line is that 'i'm focusing on my studies, so I don't have time for a girlfriend' I think at 20 though, that excuse is going to start to wear thin! It shouldn't be too bad, can imagine I'll get bored though! I'd rather just lounge on the sofa all day at my house, pigging out on loads of chocolate and falling asleep What are your plans for Christmas Day?

It shouldn't be as crap as previous years, Chirstmas at my house usually consists of listenin to my mum and her sister bitching about one another, my dad & uncle acting like tossers to try and get one up-manship on one another, my sister and her now ex bf arguing and arriving 3 hours late with the kids already asleep, and usually ends with me going to my friends house to get M.W.I or in last year's case my bf's house, fun times

This year should be better as it'll be me, my dad and my mum, Im staying for christmas dinner then likely going over and getting stoned out my box at my bf's

BTW your not the only one getting those questions, when everyone is having conversations I try speaking and I never a word in bloody edgeways and when they do speak to me it's because they've asked me questions like "so how's your love life?" or "how's school?". First of all my love life - none of their damn business and secondly I don't want to talk about school, it's depressing and it's christmas lol

Oh yeah I won't be having a proper crimbo dinner either, my mum's decided against a turkey as there's only 3 of us (well 4 if you include the cat) so we're just having some extortionately expensive fillet steak

I will miss the turkey though, I can't see how people couldn't love turkey

Haha that excuse sounds rather familiar Let's hope you don't have a pushy bloody relative that just wont let it drop and has to keep nagging until they've come out with "well what about boyfriends..." too

Why do you think I came out to my Mum at 14? So I wouldn't get that .

Reason I came out this early in my life in general.

Haha in all fairness, I only needed the excuse till I was through my A-levels etc as I wasn't long 19 when I came out Worst thing about it was that the pestering was from my aunt (who I rarely spoke to before that anyway) and on my sisters wedding day Safe to say she well and truly pi**ed me off

I used to have that where I worked. And it was my manager too. She used to laugh when she made a comments.

As for excuses (for girlfriends) the family has never really asked. Dunno what that means....

..............

Talking of employers - just seen this. As if I couldn't love Disney any more than I already do....

At least your work colleagues are a good laugh. I'm glad you are enjoying your job! I don't have any plans set in stone for next year yet, don't know if that's a good or bad thing... probably a bad thing but I do know I want to experience the world of work for a bit and then maybe study a Masters in the future when I've saved up a reasonable amount of money.

I came out when I was 17 to my mum, then a year later to my dad and my brother and a handful of youngerish relatives. I have a lot of older relatives who don't know though and my sister doesn't know yet (she's 10)... so it can get awkward when older relatives ask and I have to wheel out the same old excuse. I haven't been to a relative's wedding day yet... but I have a feeling my brother will tie the knot within the next couple of years and my mum has already said that I can bring a girl or another guy along if I wanna get the older relatives talking

That's so out of order from your old manager!

Maybe it's simply that your family don't wish to pry in your private business?

I think I am going to start revision once Christmas is out of the way. How many exams do you have coming up? I've only got the one... I feel quite lucky! got my dissertation to prepare for though as well.

I am good...off to the pub later for a couple of pints

Same. I'll start next Tuesday (Dads birthday is on the 26th) until Friday then the (slightly) intense revision starts.

Erm, 3. One can be prepared beforehand though. But the 'briefing' document doesn't appear online until 24hours before the exam and trust me to have an exam that finishes at 6 on the day it should become available!

Enjoy your pints Can't believe Christmas is in a matter of days now!

You'll be OK. What year are you in again? I've forgotten!

I can't believe Christmas is nearly here either... I'm really not in the Christmas spirit yet.. but tonight down the local, it's a singalong night. Apparently someone is playing the piano singing Christmas tunes so that should get me in the spirit! Are you feeling in the Christmas spirit?

I'm dying of man flu and we're having a big Christmas party in a bit. I could do with a 24 hour hibernation tomorrow but I've already promised my sister I'll go up Hanley with her shopping.

Hope everyone else has a good night!

Thanks!

It's a once a year thing though with everyone back from uni and those who stayed here all going so I really don't want to miss it unfortunately! I'm just going to try and not drink too much.
