They've had scenes just outside of the joint before but never inside have they ? Not recently anyway.

Grease Monkeys has been in Neighbours on and off for quite some time now.

Madge went and managed it at one point!

Neighbours is funny, I like the way all of a sudden everyone is going there and not coffee shop because there is a small 1/2 episode storyline coming up involving summer and the place.

Standby for quite a horrendous fire in Neighbours - several of the old sets will be replaced after an inferno ravages the area.

One or two of the cast are due to "perish" in the disaster too, methinks.

i suppose if the whole lassiters complex is going to be destroyed in the season finale, they'll have to have somewhere to go, other than just to their neighbours houses!

grease monkeys, the school and the church - suddenly Neighbours takes a dull twist  !

They are going to rebuild the lassiters complex though aren't they. I read on the erinsborough site (i think), that they needed to move the place where the lassisters complex is filmed, and so thats probably the reason for this fire.

Sadly they won't be able to do it well.

Its like the fire back in 99 ish when the Scully house 'burnt down'. Unfortunetly it was obviously just a flamethrower effect on the roof of the house, and the white smoke gave it away (fog machines produce white smoke ... try burning paper, its not white!),

Same with the factory fire in Corrie, no flames or anything!
Still, would be kinda expenisve I guess. But for authenticity...

Neighbours uses a real street of real houses, so a house fire is bound to bea tricky thing to stage.

Don't watch Neighbours v often (am not usually back from work in time), but will make extra efforts if Lassiters is going up in smoke.
