She tried to launch herself in America but she flopped. She is working on a new album though.

Haven't heard anything from her for ages. I always thought she was better than Pixie Lott though.

Firstly, dont understand the Pixie comparison.

Secondly, bar Remedy her songs were just rubbish.

She recorded and released one album, it did pretty well, so now shes's recording a 2nd album. Fairly standard stuff really!

Better than Pixie Lott though. Something about being bestowed the vibrato of a mountain goat just doesn't do it for me, Pixie...

The 6 minute version of Stuck on Repeat is amazing. She probably straddled the cool indie line with pop hooks a little too much, and then got a little lost with all the other strong female artists arriving at the time.

I honestly don't get the Pixie comparisons... They sound nothing alike and their music is nothing alike. Is it because they both have platinum blonde hair?

Yes she did. The album made 7 on the Heatseeker chart (i think that's where albums chart if they don't even make the Billboard 200)

Plus a US only EP called Illuminations.

They also have in common that their real name is Victoria.

New in Town was released very soon after Mama Do. Although I immediately liked Mama Do, New in Town has grown and grown on me, and has now surpassed Mama Do in my estimation. That said, I prefer some of Pixie's follow-ups to other Little Boots's songs.

Sadly, I bet her second album will flop so badly. Despite winning the BBC poll I just don't think she clicked with the general public. Remedy did well but didn't do much for the album. I'd love to hear her new material but I just have a feeling deep down it will flop unless her label really promote it and get Radio 1 behind it too.

It all depends on the direction she goes in. She could do Commericial dance music or the underground heavy Dance/electronica. The underground Dance/Electornica is much more appreciated. But it all depends in what way she does as. She will need to distance herself away from other Electronic/Dance acts, mainly Goldfrapp.

Putting her in the same breath as Goldfrapp is blasphemy, Goldfrapp's music is fantastic something Little Boots did not produce quite frankly.

Yeah i know that. I was using Goldfrapp as an example because they are the best Uk act to be doing Dance/Electronic music.

From the song she recently played in Portugal it sounds as if she has gone for a similar sound to Remedy, dance with a more of a pop edge to it. I think she may have gone for a darker feel to it aswell, which could work out well.
