Do you think if Batman got super powers he'd lose credibility?

The whole point of Batman is that he's proven himself able to outwit even the likes of Superman; he's kind of like a human 'control' that reminds readers that, regardless of what super-powers someone may have, they can still be defeated by a normal human.

My ex and I once had a serious debate about this. I was all for Superman, but my ex thought like you. I had to agree with him on that score. Oh and the Batmobile is cool. It's not cooler than the Mach 5. Nothing is.

I'll give you that it's very true, what you've just said, but it has nothing to do with the subject

In the context of a comic-book universe, yes.

And most of Batman's equipment is real-world feasible. The only sci-fi-ish stuff is the stuff designed to deal with sci-fi problems.

Batman is Super powered already. He managed to beat people far above his own weight level using skill, intelligence and technological solutions. he has durability far more than the average mook and survives events and injuries no human could survive.

He also has a Green Lantern ring which he received in a earlier comic, but doesn't wear it because that's not the sort of person he is.

He lost most of his credibility when he got a bat credit card.

George Clooney killed Batmans credibility

What if he was fiddling with young Mr Grayson? Would that affect his credibility?

Well i think he has already had a share of superpowers. i think in one story he had to use a green lanterns ring. but tbh i think batman prefers to have no powers.

I'm sure people write dissertations on this for their comic book studies degrees but for me Batman also represents humanity. With our intelligence, technology and as that advert says, adaptability, we've overcome a formidable environment to lead pretty comfortable lives on the whole. Superman on the other hand is an impossible fantasy. He's what we'd like to be but Batman is what we are.

If you give him powers then he won’t rely on his detective skills and other skills. The reason he is a superhero is because he is different from the rest. But he were, then most probably he wouldn’t have been that famous than he is now.

they did do this in the superman/batman comics...not sure which one it was..but they gave Batman Supermans powers and he went mental, kinda took a leaf out of smallville's book in that any non kryptonian wielding a kryptonians powers will become corrupted

Did Lucan have super powers? His nickname was Lucky, and he could have been an upper crust Gambit.

Would that not depend upon whether young Mr Grayson (just turned 18), was a Boy Wonder that was a keen player of the pink piccolo?

man of steel, woman of kleenex

Maybe a radioactive bat could bite him

Actually that would make a good Elseworlds story
