Yes, that howler is further proof that no one must edit her work, or the Mail are just letting her dig herself deeper. Her lack of self awareness when referring to fellow 'fashionistas' is classic: "Today, being fashionable is about wearing the most expensive, newest thing on the planet, regardless of whether it suits you, or you can afford it." As Liz has been banned from most of the fashion shows this is obviously how she is trying to justify her time. And the dig about Kate wearing 'American Tan' tights, it's Royal protocol for the female Royals to always wear tights, how Chavvy would Kate look at official functions barelegged with tango sprayed pins?

Yes, I agree. I think Liz is just miffed that some Americans had the audacity to think they might have an opinion on fashion and Kate. After all, Liz has already told us what we should think.

I actually agree with Liz's column today because I actually quite like Kate's style and enjoy seeing someone in the press in items I might actually be able to wear for work. But I still read the whole thing in disbelief because no one has criticized her more than Liz!
My favourite was when she ranted about Warehouse, Kate's choice to buy some honeymoon items, being an awful shop and then said she hadn't actually been inside it in 20 years!

There certainly used to be a colour called American Tan when I was young. Mind you, that was 40 years ago, so it was considered exotic. You could buy American tan or black.
