I think many posters are interested in Flavia/Matt/Jimi as I have seen quite a few posts on various threads about Flavia and her Partners.

I'm not sure why one article in a local newspaper quoting him as her 'boyfriend' at the time is taken as gospel! The only people who know exactly what, why and when happened re the break up are Matt and Flavia and no amount of assumption and gossip on an internet forum can change that.

Seeing as the article in the newspaper is dated 1st October 2010 and the remarks Matt makes are in quotes - as I know from a newspaper friend anything that is written in quotes is when the person has actually said this.

There are only two quotes in that brief article one saying words to the effect from Matt that Flavia's very short and so she's relieved that she hasn't got Paul Daniels and another from him saying she's happy she got Jimi - nowhere in that article does he say he's still her 'boyfriend' that's the journalist assuming that.

I actually don't take everything I read in the press as 'gospel' but the fact is she's the only one whose discussed the break up albeit without disclosing much and Matt hasn't! I was the one who actually assumed they'd broken up last year before the series had started because I didn't see Matt in the audience and I rememeber the two series before he had been in the audience.

Well I hardly think Matt would have commented on Flavia being in SCD etc last year if he was not her boyfriend - he would have moved on.

Yes Flavia has discussed the break up but Matt is to much of a gentleman to do that.

He actually was at a couple of the shows last at the beginning and I know that for a fact. The camera does not always show everyone up who is there espectially if one goes as a Pros guest and not as a Celeb invited.

As I said the interview was a very brief one I don't see why as an ex SCD contestant he wouldn't have discussed her being in it.

Flavia has hardly dished any dirt on the break up! She merely sited long time apart and clashing work schedules as the reason for the split and said they remained on friendly terms and while I don't claim to know anything for fact only what I read in the press I distinctly remember reading in the online tabloids the relationship was in trouble for the same reasons a long time before that around the time Matt was linked to Michelle Heaton - again I don't know if that was true or just tabloid gossip but I remember reading in the rags that her husband at the time Andy Scott Lee wasn't too happy with Matt

Please just accept the fact that Matt was dumped for Jimmy.it's well known Matt and Flavia were together at the start of Strictly,they were still going places as a couple and no mention of a breakup came from either of them.Flavia only decided to announce the split after she was booted of the show,why would she not have announced it beforehand and set the record straight,makes more sense.Flavia done the same thing with Vincent,told everyone they were broken up when Vincent was unaware of this and clearly stated he was dumped for Matt...see a pattern forming with Flavia.

Which is exactly what I can't understand!! Why as Matt fans are you and a couple of others persisting in dragging all of this up still? We all know how he likes to keep his life private and yet a year later his own fans are all STILL carrying this on .... The poor guy hasn't said a word about it all and yet it is still being plastered over a public forum a year later

I know that quite often threads can stray slightly from the original topic, but this story by NO stretch of the imagination belongs in a thread entitled 'Lineup Leaked' - I think it would be better for all of you who haven't quite come to terms with this to open a new thread for this if you are all insisting in talking about it still....Maybe like group therapy or something ... ....

It is totally off topic for in here and I assume when I read the title of a thread that what is inside will be of some sort of relevance and this story clearly isn't! If it is in a thread clearly marked for this ever lasting saga then maybe those of us who are sick to death of reading about it can avoid it.

I agree about this not being the thread for the Matt Flavia discussion actually.I hope that will be the end of it as the thruth is well known anyway.I am amused however at some of Flavias fluffy fans saying they are sick of hearing about it, as a small minority of them spend every waking hour prying into her private life....It seems just the stuff that shows Flav in a bad light is ot to be spoken of..

I follow Flavia as a fan and nothing more....but you seem to be the one who claims to know all there is to know about her private life! Not me!

Well hello, new member here Seems like i'm posting in the middle of a debate but hey ho. I'm very much looking forward to this series despite whinging when i first saw who was paired with who (i do the same every year). I've been watching since 2007 and have been hooked ever since. My fave pro's are Flavia & Vincent, Ola & James, Artem & Katya. Don't mind the others too much My favourite celebs are clear cut though, Kara Tointon and Rachel Stevens were beyond heaven for me

As for this year i would imagine Holly to be good but who knows? Roll on the 30th

I think Holly is looking very good and she has got to be one of the favourites...I'm liking the Russell and Flavia partnership right now but who knows how the actual dancing will be, lol I'm looking forward to the show starting up though as it seems forever ago since we learned the line up.

Hey Dilly, thanks for the welcome Same here, when i first saw Flavia had Russell i was a bit gutted but to give him credit he looks like will try his hardest if the group dance is anything to go by, even if his dancing isn't up to scratch!

Yeah I was a bit gutted too if I'm honest, but the two of them seem to have hit it off and he is like a breath of fresh air on twitter with all his chit chat - Hope his dancing is as good as his tweeting
I do think he will give it a good go though and he is taking it seriously and trying hard from the sounds of it, so I hope the judges haven't already decided he is the comedy of the show and are already making up their jokes.
