Sagemcom Freesat + problems

We have intermittent problems with our Sagemcom Feesat + box. Sometimes when you go to EPG a blank screen appears and a picture can only be restored by using the favourites button.

The other problem is when trying to play back recorded programmes. Sometimes the selected programme wont play and a message appears saying recording unavailable.

Both issues are solved by switching the unit off briefly and then back on again. Anyone got any ideas?

Simples...!
This has probably happened since the ota update on the 25th August and some users' box setups have been "confused" by the update.
Try the following:
1) Switch the Sagem off / wait 10 secs / on AT THE MAINS
2) switch the Sagem back on via the remote.
3) Carry out a "Menu - Receiver settings - Factory reset (or Channel search)"
The box should be back to normal but note the subtle change to the EPG (SD channel blue highlighting where a HD alternative channel is available (HD simulcast))

Before and since the new software update, I have experienced the same problems that you describe.
The blank screen thing usually happens after using the BBC Red Button (or iPlayer) and occurs mostly on the HD channels. There is a black screen, but the Red Button appears over the said black screen.
I have also had the play-back (recording unavailable) screen.
All these problems are resolved (until the next time) by doing a mains-disconnect, mains-reconnect cycle.
The new software seems to have created more problems than it solved.
I have also performed a full channel search (as advised by the Sagemcom website).

Is the Sagemcom Software that is available to download for the Sagemcom website for the Sagemcom DTR94XXS series boxes compatable with the Sagem DTR94XXXS boxes and if it is, is it newer than the 1.0.3 Software that came pre-installed on my Sagem DTR94500S?
