My wee boy is not well

Had my cat at the vet on Friday - he had a really high temp thursday night, really lethargic, felt like a wee rag doll when I lifted him, not eating or drinking.

He got an antibiotic and painkiller at the vets and seemed to perk up when that kicked in - had a little bit of food when he came home but temperature has been up and down all weekend, although not to the extent it was on Thursday, but he has still not eaten anything since then, not even being tempted by ham or chicken.

I have antibiotics for him but he is now starting to cough a lot, a really wheezy dry cough. I am even resorting to trying to syringe some water into his mouth to try and get fluids into him.

Thanks

I will probably take him back to vets tomorrow if he is still not eating. Does anyone have any other advice, I hate seeing him like this and want to do everything i can for him.

If he hasn't eaten or drank since Friday, he needs to go the vets asap.

Hey, just a wee update.

Woke up this morning being patted on the face by Archie! Came down the stairs and he was yowling for food. He has been eating all day and is now full of energy. His antibiotics must have really kicked in over night - its so good to see him back to normal.

Glad to hear there is an improvement

One of our cats was poorly a few months ago and it scared us silly - can't help thinking that our feline friends wouldn't be that bothered if we were ill lol

I'm glad to hear your Archie is getting better. (My Archie likes to wake me up by patting me on the face too)
