I think that I used to try harder, until the 'sitting on the fence' remarks got to me I never want to upset anybody re. anything in life, so I always try and word things as carefully as I can and still get my point across, I think we all try that as much as we can

I did spend the afternoon with Mommy and Baby Chase yesterday and had a great afternoon. I got a lot of Chase time and my DIL got 2 naps, even though short ones. I am trying to urge my DIL to relax and not be too hard on herself. She is working so hard at everything....but both she and my son are doing a great job. She was talking yesterday as we were waiting for J to come home from work .... how different it was from their past Friday nights. In the past they would be talking about going out to dinner or doing something with friends. Now it was just another day of the week and she expected him to be a bit of a zombie from lack of sleep. She is adjusting to not working as much as adjusting to being a new mom.

I have only seen a little bit of the tennis, all the rain meant we didn't get any of the normal nightly broadcasts Most of the matches ended up during the daytime and I was working....probably perfect timing for those of you across the pond. I am looking forward to watching today's matches, start here in an hour or so.”

Yeah, being a grandma has a lot of positives as long as you get it right and it sounds like you are - experience because you've been there before but expert enough to know when to back off and let them get on with it; support when it's needed without being interfering. You wouldn't need to take any diplomacy tablets, Barbara. It's in your DNA.

What I like about Barbara's posting style is that yes she's diplomatic, but she is also firm in her beliefs, will say what needs to be said if she feels it needs saying - but never in a nasty way - and knows who to be firm with or who prefers a more 'outspoken' approach. She also gives great advice

Sorry Babs, talking about you not to you Just bigging you up lol

Haha I obviously wrote that wrong, I meant if I took her out at midnight they would feel right in removing her, not that I wish them to ... it's my biggest nightmare, the idea of being without Laura, she's everything to me

Hope they are still enjoying life with baby Chase. It's so exhausting at the beginning. However much anyone tries to prepare you, it's still a huge shock to the system - physically, mentally and emotionally. That realisation that suddenly in the world there is a little being who is totally dependent on you in every sense and that from this moment on they will always come first.

You watching the tennis? I'm glad that Murray managed to get through to the semis, though up against Nadal yet again One can always hope. He has beaten him before. Ooooh, better be careful what I say. Andrea's a big Nadal fan. Sorry Roddick didn't make it through again.”

BIB Only joking Although Nadal is my favourite I won't be too disappointed if Andy wins. I am not happy that I am out tonight and won't be able to watch it. Hope they have Sky sports on the bar area

LOL Oh, wouldn't it be lovely to really have a tropical island.

Hey, just a thought. If you do see Josie, don't forget to thank her for the card she did to you and Laura and to tell her how much you love her perfume.

Kay, if you have a tropical island that allow visitors.... I would definitely be there. Forget the Supportive Susan bench.
