Good luck to Josie doing her 10k walk for Dorothy house Hospice despite her faults I think she has some great qualities and her contribution to charity is one of them.

During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist. She had an 'ulterior motive'. She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews (being German). Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids). She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises. During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants. She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely. Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family. Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted. In 2007 Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize. She was not selected. In MEMORIAM - 65 YEARS LATER I'm doing my small part by forwarding this message. I hope you'll consider doing the same.. It is now more than 65 years since the Second World War in Europe ended. This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated! Now, more than ever, with Iran , and others, claiming the HOLOCAUST to be 'a myth'. It's imperative to make sure the world never forgets, because there are others who would like to do it again. This e-mail is intended to reach 40 million people worldwide! Join us and be a link in the memorial chain and help us distribute it around the world.. Please send this e-mail to people you know and ask them to continue the memorial chain. Please don't just delete it. It will only take you a minute to pass this on

I understand it's not asking for money or anything - and I also agree with the content, but I do worry that it might contain a virus - there's no links or anything?

no links on it as far as I can see just the words in the post. When I studied History at Exeter Uni I was affiliated to a lot of Historical research associations so I presume this is where they have got my email address

I'm pretty skeptical of things like this. I always check snopes.com for things like this before I pass it on.

It says it is true....I think its the same story. I didn't read either account in detail.

What happened in US BB I was rooting for Jordan and Porshe made an error she should of got rid of Rachel it was obvious that Rachel would win the endurance task. I think Rachel will take Adam to the final he has been the ultimate floater.

Thanks Ali for your kind words.

It is my nature to listen more than talk....although I enjoy a good chat or ramble on ocassion when I feel comfortable with someone.

Now at the risk of changing your positive opinion.....

A bit stating the obvious....I like to ponder my response to things a bit and the urge to respond or the conversation has often passed by then.

I do try to see things from different viewpoints....although a few make this impossible and I've had to give up on some. I'm not referring to posts here....mainly out in the twitterverse.

I don't feel a need to respond to every (or many) posts that I disagree with. Partly because I don't want to give their opinion any more airtime by quoting it or by giving them another reason to re-state it with their response to me. I'm more likely to respond to someone misstating facts to support their opinion than I am to respond to something that is just obviously opinion. They have a right to state it.....I have a right to ignore it.

I don't enjoy a debate....not sure if this is just my nature or developed during my marriage to a man that thought everything was a debate. I don't need you to be wrong in order for me to be right.

Thinking about this reminded me how much I agreed with a post of Annette's from last night and I had to go back and find it, add it to my Sept report and think about a response for it too. By then I needed to go make another cup of coffee and respond to a few other posts. Typical for me and why it takes me awhile to respond sometimes.....you would think I had ADD or something....I don't...although the older I get the less focused I am; no ADD, just old age.

LOL Can't imagine they would. Goodness these days they won't talk to you about anything unless you're directly related. We've been trying to sort out my daughter's student loans but they won't talk to us but want her to answer questions about our financial situation She hasn't a clue, obviously about that. But they refuse to talk to us until they've got that information. Just bureaucracy gone mad.

It sounds like you have a philosophy that works for you and that's what matters

Obviously I do like a discussion but I don't 'argue' for arguments sake, although it might seem like it sometimes There is a lot I don't respond to at all

I know they are keen to take the money but not so keen to pay it out. After paying 800 pounds for a year's bus passes for my boys to go to college an hour away I was shocked to hear that they had failed to lay on enough buses and one of the boys had to stand the journey is an hour each way. I hope they sort it out on Monday because the thought of an accident and the boys standing scares me to death, especially after paying 800 hundred pounds.

I know, I was very sad to see Jordan get evicted on Thursday. I did like the way she handled her departure and all of her post-eviction interviews. I felt lucky to see her on BB again, it was a bonus. I am definitely voting for her for AC....even if it splits the votes between the J's

I don't think Porsche has a winning play....I hope I'm right, but it will depend on the final results of this last HOH.

She didn't want Jordan to have a chance to win again. She thinks Rachel will/might take her to F2, she knows Jordan never would have. Jordan may have beaten her in the endurance too, it seems the spinnning would have been a problem for Porsche no matter who she was against. In BB11 when they did the graduation endurance, they all just hurled from their seats and kept on going....Jordan included...that one wasn't quite as severe a spin though.

So now I must say with much surprise...Rachel FTW.

Hey, Carole, that seems a bit steep for a bus pass. Is that to a state school? I thought with children especially they wouldn't allow them to stand especially for such a long journey. Health and safety and all that.

Re: Irena. I guess this is their way of keeping what happened alive in people's minds. I get a lot of those, especially about the war in Iraq, in Afghanistan and presumably now I will start getting them about Libya. It's up to you but I bet all the people you know are fully aware of the Holocaust and what happened there anyway. I don't think what Iran says has any bearing on it at all in the eyes of the whole world, maybe only in a certain section of it.

I keep seeing these references to Porsche. Is there really someone called that? LOL How about Peugeot or Honda?
