yeah he won the competition but it was a memory one and Jordan came second. I think rachel probably deserves to win but I am not a big fan personality wise. However, I think she is probably the only one to win the veto so could be still in with a shout

I agree Heidi - you and I probably wouldn't do it but there are plenty of people who do. They think it will save their relationship through magic or, as they see it, a good event happening to make them think they've sorted whatever the problem is. But, of course, it usually is one or both of the couple not owning up to the other or themselves that their relationship is dead or dying in the water. The worst ones are where they have a baby which of course makes the whole situation ten times worse cos children are hard work and are usually a big shock and turn your world upside down even when you both think you're in a wonderful relationship.

When throwing out the accusations of double standards should you not be comparing like with like?
If Josie was reported dating Marcus or Jeanette’s cousin I too would struggle to believe the guy had not watched Josie on BB, at the least of curiosity, but as we have no idea of the guy’s identity I see no reason why the benefit of doubt cannot be applied. Besides I clearly remember the general reactions of the thread to the flirting sessions with Marlon… I believe his name was/is banned and relegated to ‘pube boy’?

In regards to the behaviour of the ubers on both sides, I really don’t see it changing for a while as it’s not just the behaviour of the ubers that feed the hate. Commenting on the movements of someone you dislike in a sly, mean, sour-grape manner in public feeds the hate and I can’t believe that seemingly intelligent people that do this on a day to day basis whether it be on twitter, DS or FB, cannot see how they participate in this yet cry for all the hate stop. Good god man, take ownership of your own actions before you ask others to.

Sorry, it turned into a mini rant hey? I just get frustrated with what I read sometimes and I think Babs had it spot on earlier; it does seem to feed a need in some. I think some may have chosen a side based on what they deemed right or wrong & are still waiting to be proved they chose right & so when the other party makes a misdemeanour they have to point it out as being proved correct in the choice they made?

Mmmmm..... I have a finnish friend who lives in UK. He is MEGA BB fan. But he is a fan only when the series is on. He has no idea what goes on with these people after.

On December last year he out of the blue asked me, as he remembered that I supported Josie and John, if John had gone back to Australia right after the show. He was suprised to hear that they actually did go into serious relationship.

On May-June he had stumbled onto an online article about Josie and learned that they are not together anymore.

And on August as CBB started he was watching BBBOTS and I saw a status update from him on facebook about how suprised he was that Josie had shrunk

He has NO IDEA about that they both still have fans. And if I would update him on what has been happening he would probably die laughing

I hate to say it, and hindsight is a wonderful thing NOT, but I would say looking back that the reason I got married was exactly this, thinking it would change things or make things better, and it's possible that subconsciously we also had Laura for this reason.

I wouldn't consciously have decided to have a child as a patch-up to my marriage, but I do think that beneath it all that was why, now that I look back

Lol I did speak to some people at Butlins who were similar, we do live in a bubble don't we, that we think everybody else knows about when really it's a small bubble.

I don't mind telling people that I still follow them to a degree, cause I'm proud and pleased to have made so many real and cyber friends, but I don't tell them the extent of the knowledge that I have, that would probably give them a stroke

This is not the view of the whole thread. This is another big problem. That one or maybe a few people have a particular viewpoint and this is then applied to the whole JJJAT. Not just on this particular topic but on all topics. As some of us have said in the past: we can only take comfort from the fact that extreme John fans think we're all Josie lovers and extreme Josie fans think we're all John lovers, people who want them to be happy and are not longer interested in their lives are considered to be totally unappreciative of them totally and for all time, and people who want them to be together again are considered loopy. All these views are attributed to the thread as a whole depending on which corner you stand in. We are happy to accommodate all these views on this thread, including yours.

I think Babs was right too and what I tried to say this morning (but I hit a wrong key) was that what happened with John and Josie probably answers/ed/ met/ fed a need of some kind in all of us - otherwise we wouldn't be here still discussing it.
