Hi Kaybabe ........I think .......drumroll........that the problem lies with the very words 'I THINK'...........When I write those two little words I don't mean that what I say is a set in stone proven fact ........but merely conjecture or a guess or a fancy based on my feelings at the moment.
These are fluid and open to change as new facts and context happens.............Others however take it as a firm belief .......one which is worth taking the thinker to task over and fight to the mean and nasty to discredit them. while failing to accept that their 'Thinking' is just as open to question and lacking in proof positive.
At the moment there is so little in the way of new and worthy stuff to chat about ....especially where John is concerned that anyone's mere thoughts are pounced upon for sport ......and sometimes a bloodsport at that.
I add that these are my personal thoughts and all is open to me changing at any time

I had to smile at this, Annie. Even the quality papers will turn and twist a story to suit. Research I've been involved with has been on the receiving end of this, with distorted facts, misleading headlines - even when you've written an article yourself at their request.

I always looked at all trash mag articles with a cynical eye before John and Josie came along. And then for some silly reason my cynical eye went AWOL and I started to believe what was printed when it suited. John and Josie's split helped me to regain my cynical eye.

I think ..... has become ..... I believe - in a lot of people's eyes. And the two have become confused. Someone somewhere (on a neighbouring thread, I think) in the not too distant past was talking about the way people discussed here on the JJJAT about John and Josie's relationship, particularly about them reuniting. They said that people on here talked about it as a belief, almost as a kind of religious act of faith, as if by saying I believe in their relationship would make it real again somehow. I thought that was interesting at the time - it is all the stuff of fantasy now, of course.

I am with you on that. I certainly believed all the lovely articles about them before the split and then started not to believe the not so nice ones after

This brings to mind the point Kay made earlier on how people feel about responses to the opioins they decide to share or in some cases not share for fear of being attacked. I'd like to think if I posted more regularly some form of trust would be estalibshied and the motivation behind more post would not be misunderstood.

You are entitled to post & stand by your opinion... The discussion on double standards was reopend today & this time I chose to participate.. Kay responded and a conversation/debate followed where others contributed. I'd like to think that's all it was and there was mutual respect amongst the posters with no one feeling attacked. If I got this wrong then I apologise.

I have just posted on the JOhn thread as I am appalled at the comments they are making over there about Josie. They are treating her threats etc as a joke which is dreadful and I hope to god they never have anybody close to them suffer like Josie clearly is. What is wrong with these people that they take pleasure in somebody elses pain!

Grrrrrrr, rant over and breath!

I started it and said that was my opinion and so felt like you had problem with my post so you should "attack" me but I can easyly say that you don't need to apologise for anything here because we all have different opinions and we all respeckt and allow people to not agry with us!
I think this is what this Thread gets going now days.

It's a little like Confessions of a tynetart tonight .......just putting a few things in place in my mind ......some may be of the glaringly obvious kind and others pointless lol.......but I'm doing it anyway....

The weather made the decision about the tree branches today and now it's all pruned and lovely ......I was worried it would fall on someone or crash through the greenhouse.
G was completely baffled why today I was logical about it all and yet the other day I was a snivelling wreck ........

Just read your post well done it is terrible that some people find the threats that Josie has had funny, whether it's by text or face to face, think it would be just as frightning, can I ask you a question how do you know John has been supportive ? which I hope he has even after everything thats happened I think he hate the thought of Josie going through this

It seems the way things are these days...I get so annoyed with what I assume to be quality TV news outlets when they choose to go with speculation and heresay instead of FACTS!
Anybody surprised that I want only FACTS!

Especially when they are covering a breaking news story they need to fill every second of airtime so they will repeat any speculation they hear or even a wild rumor and broadcast it. Why can't we just wait and watch to see what really happens. I am disappointed at the state of news today....They blame it on the viewer and their demand to know everything instantaneously rather than hold themselves accountable to a higher standard of proof. It's not like the "old" days...LOL

Speaking of holding oneself to a high standard....I have not done so today.....

So I actually looked through the National Enquirer today to see what they said about Josie.
Why? I have no respect for that rag
