They must be short on cash down at EE, that is the most fake pregnant tummy I've ever seen on TV. Did they stuff pillows down her top or something? I'm waiting for it to be some sort of 'con'.

I always hate new families on sight, just as I did with the Slaters and Battersby's (now love them) and others who I will never take too like the Ferreiras.

Mickey's Dad looks like the Dad in Shameless, can't remember his name and Mum reminds me of Tracey in Birds of a Feather.

Haha yeah good point Posy! He does. Now, see, that bloke and the girl he was 'seeing' would be great in EE. At least they had some acting tallent.

Naughty Martin.

Let's see then, Hate Keith, hate Rosie, the kids aren't too bad as yet, but we've only had 1/2 an hour of them so far.

Give them a chance.... they seem to have individual personalities.... Unlike the Ferrerias
They're interacting with other characters... Unlike the Ferrarias
The stomach's work permit isn't going to expire.... Unlike Dan Ferraria's

I think they could potentially be great. Maybe if everyone stopped with the cynacism. It doesn't make you seem intelligent, it just proves your unable to apprechiate anything. I understand the contempt for the Ferrarias, they;ve had some time and still not improved. As its been said many times on here, everyone hates new families. Give it a month or so any maybe you'll be singing their praises.

Grow up and don't expect instant resultes.

Is it me, or was that one of the most predictable EE episodes ever?

And why do all the new families have to be so 'mouthy'.. It puts me off them straight away before you get a chance to see the character

I know new families are usually hated at first, and then loved within a few months, but this is purely based on first impressions. We know first impressions can be wrong, but at the moment, that's all we've got. They may grow on us, they may not, and we can always change our opinion as time goes on. I agree they're better than the Ferreira's, as they at least speak to people outside their family. They may have potential as a family, but even in the best soap families, there are always characters that people don't like, but that doesn't mean that they hate the family.

On reflection, I think that the twins have potential, I still hold my views on the parents, but their children could be very good.

I really liked them.

But this being EE, within a few years (months?!) they'll have lost all the humour and light-heartedness, let alone any realism, and become as drab and boring as every other character on the street. Presumably in time for some of the actors to have become arrogant 'celebs'.

So far though, so good. The new mum and dad in particular seemed well done. Although Im worried about the dad descending into farce quickly.

Kida can act.. that's a new one. The parents are irritating. I liked the uncle though..

I hate when soaps go overboard and try to be really funny when introducing a new family. It nearly always fails dismally. Tonight's EE was no exception.. I mean where were they going with "The only fing that 'appened that day was you was stung by a wasp.." Next thing the characters are laughing as if it was a highly amusing joke.. Give me a break!

Apart from most of the Miller family scenes, EE was great tonight. I liked how it's finally being made clear that Andy and Sam aren't sharing the same brain.. The psycho-Sarah plot is actually starting off well.. And believe it or not, I found the whole Ferreira thing quite amusing. At first I though.. oh, the snake escapes, saw that coming.. how predictable. Liked the twist at the end though, and how manly Tariq pretended that he had slept it out rather than admit he cowered in the bathroom for the morning..

I say keep the uncle, and the kids, and maybe the dad. Rosie is too rude. EE was great tonight.

It was a very poor episode. They came intoi the street the very same way as the Battersbys came into Coromation Street.....stealing off their neighbours. If they grow on me the same way that Les Battersby has done, i will never like them either.

What was Pauline playing at. It should have been " You have 20 minutes to return that Bed or I will call the Police "

And Martin...Why is that in soaps, characters can never get a word in when they really need to.

I couldn't STAND the mother with the stupid "every woman is a slag that wants my man" garbage, but I quite liked the dad and the kids were alright.

Not quite. Peter looks about 10 and Lucy looks about 11. Demi looks about 14 or 15.
I bet you anything Eastenders will conveniantly forget that Spencer (and probably Alfie) already know the family and they'll introduce themselves. Mark my words!
I for one have enjoyed them all except Rosie who a find a bit too 2-dimensional. I can't see where they can possibly go with her. The kids are fairly good actors. Darren is better than Demi however. I can see him being described as a Mark 2 Martin Fowler and her as a Mark 2 Bianca Jackson.
I look forward to their development.
