The kids can act which is good, I am not sure about the dad or mum yet, Micky is great.

EE was great today, lots of new things start for EE, new family which open door for new storyline what the big secret with the other sister?. I like Sarah, the storyline is ok at the moment. Andy and Sam storyline is great now.

One thing I didn't like was no Dot or Jim in tonight episode.

I thought they were alright, but the mum was a bit off with her thinking that everyone was after her husband!

I agree with the original poster, that fake tummy for the gilrs pregnancy looked so fake!

Don't worry. by this time next year the mother will have gotten pregnant, lost the baby and found god, the dad will run of with pat, the kids will have developed different accents, 1 will have proberly left, and they will become another eastend famaleeee

Anyways, I thought tonights episode was fab. Really did, I think this new family are going to really shake things up, an I agree though Demi's belly looked so fake, but she's only a foetus herself so I'm sure that was the intention of the Producers, to put across that a 13yr old carrying a baby just looks and is wrong! And I also agree, Bianca clone or what? lol Anyway I loved it tonight, lots was happening and how scary was Sarah? oh dear! Although I think the end kind of ruined it, we should have seen fisticuffs between Pauline an Rosie but somehow I think its leading up to that at some point lol

i actually liked them, i cant wait to see more arguements from the mother and pauline, im not to keeen on the children though, the dad seems ok.

Liked them all, except the mum. This whole thing about women eyeing up the dad. That kind of line should be reserved as a joke, not serious.
The kids seem good, the mum looks like Tracey from Birds of a Feather, the dad looks like her husband (Darrell?), Mickey seems to be getting darker by the week and the dog is great.
Don't see how the daughter is a clone of Bianca. To me, Psycho Sarah looks more like her.

Another typical story line. They bring in a family from hell, we will all hate them, then they will prove to have 'hearts of gold' and be 'the salt of the earth' and we will all love them.( see The Slaters, The Battersbys, The Dingles, etc)
Sometimes the neighbours from hell remain the neighbours from hell with no redeeming features whatsoever. Sometimes thieving brats become thieving adults - not Robin Hood.
I can't wait to see how long before they do their first good deed for the community :yawn:

Well I have to say that they fared better than I thought they would. Didnt think much of the youngest kid though. Yes the 'bump' looked so false. Lets hope that LB dosent let them get sucked into the same mood of depression as the last breath of fresh air to hit the square Alfie Moonbeam. 6/10

The characters themselves are not bad. I too thought I noticed some evidence of acting from the children... how bizarre!

Storyline was pants though, as other posters have pointed out, though I was mildly amused by the Miller mother seeing Pauline as a threat...

It was quite good really, nice introduction, the way you SHOULD introduce families if you're going to bring them in all at once - making sure there's interaction with other main cast members. Not perfect, but not bad at all.

The mum quite clearly has a screw loose. Obviously Keith has cheated on her before or she's been cheated on by someone else, or something similar. No sane person would see Pauline as a threat.

The Dad could easily descend into farce, yes. Let's hope not..

The kids didn't get to do much, but they didn't need to. It amuses me that they're supposed to be twins though, yet she looks about two years older than him.

It seems that the people at EE have seen how the Slaters have been a success and the Ferrerias have been a flop so they've created this new family to resemble the Slaters; a bit too much if you ask me! They seem just as lippy and foul mouthed as the Slaters are. It's a shame they couldn't have thought of something new.

I think we should give them a chance. Yes their entrance did seem to be an almost carbon copy of the Slaters but it was better than the Ferrarias which is what people have been complaining about the boredom of that family.
The girl is so like Bianca its quite unsettling. However, her pregnancy bump was terrible. I know a 14 year old carrying a child is not meant to look good or 100% natural but that was a very poor attempt, it came across as "quick we forgot your baby bump just shove this cushion up your top and you'll be sorted, Our blind viewers will never notice". Well , we did and it was bad.
Pauline as a threat??????Oh please but it was funny. Martin and the stalker should be a good storyline though looking forward to seeing that.

I thought they worked quite well - I did like the arm-chair philosopher father, I think he will be a good comedy character, and he wasnt being "forced" funny. I think the main thing they have going for them is that they actually look like a real family, and not just ( for example ) a random bunch of asian people thrown together to fill a gap, mentioning no names. They can all act fairly well too.

On the downside, the mother suspecting everyone of eyeing up her husband was just too daft, but we'll let them off for that as its their first appearance.

They have promise - EE might have got it right this time, for once, so I'll still be watching. And the dog is top class!

Incidentally - The uncle was one of the robbers in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Started to wonder about this last night. The Millers have moved in NO. 27. Who lived there before? I was trying to think about who has left the Square and whose house they could have moved into. Janine has gone but that is certainly not her house added to the fact it was privately owned so the council couldn't move them in there. I can't think of any other house on the Square that has been vacated by a family to allow them to move in. Can anyone help me out?

I don't like any of them as people (although I do now have some sympathy for Micky) but I think they'll work as characters as long as they don't go OTT. Stealing the bed was a bit OTT - how on earth did they think they wouldn't be found out? And the mother thinking Pauline would be after Keith, and that Keith would respond, was just totally ridiculous: the bed story would have been more believable without that aspect and it would have made a much better introduction to the family.

You've only got to LOOK at Keith to see he's the sort of bloke who sits on his arse all day drinking beer, watching telly and pretending to have a bad back. I think they've probably all been well cast and they've definitely got potential. But please EE, ease them in gradually, let us get to k now them, and don't go for the big stories straight away.

I think people are being a bit too harsh on them, especially since it was their first day. Anyways....

Anyways I thought they were ok, the mum a bit ott but still realistic imo ; looking after her pregnant daughter, making a sarnie in the middle of moving day (example of my mum?!?), oh and unpacking the kettle!!! We need to give them a chance. Does anyone see any rivalry between the new dog and wellard

Well you all know how quick I am to jump on the 'Deadenders' bandwagon but I have to say I was really impressed with last nights episode.

It had an energy to it that's been missing for months (I've shyt my gob about Friday's painfully boring one hour episode) and you know, the Millers might be the family from hell but I found them funny and highly watchable. As someone else has said, they work as a family unit unlike the dulleries who just seem a mis-mash of asian actors. They had some really funny lines too, well we were all laughing in our house.

We could do without the young son being a teenage tearaway and already stealing money from the fruit machine - what is he? A Martin Fowler mark ii, I'm so sick of everyone in Enders being morally corrupt?

Anyway keep up the re-found energy. It's made me watch to tune in and watch all over again.

They were interesting, and I was v impressed with the kids. (Demi is the gingerest child I have ever seen). Agree that dad was a bit too much like Frank from Shameless, and mum a bit OTT with her mouthing off about "everyone's after my man". Still, I have high hopes they'll settle in before too long. A decent enough start.

Exactly how i feel. The others were ok, and i will hold my judgement on them ... but the mum was TERRIBLE. If she says the same line to every single female she will become very boring very quickly.
