I like them. It was OTT, the whole thing with the bed, but this is EastEnders, isn't it. I don't really understand why Pauline didn't just say Err, give me that bed back, you thief, before I call the Police. and have a wash. instead of all that sillyness with Rosie accusing her of having a roving eye on Keith, but hey, there's always room for another argumentative matriarch in the Square. Pauline, Pat, Mo, Peggy, Rosie. RUMBLE!!

and Demi and Darren can act the socks off other EE kids, from what we've seen of them. I like the Millers, I do. And I hope we see them interact sufficiently with everyone else, rather than as a secluded insular collective, which ruined the Fereirra's. Well, being rubbish ruined the Fereirra's, but you know what I mean. And I hope they aren't another "scummy but big hearted" bunch, which is too overdone. Keep them pikey! that's what I say!

I still dont like them I know its early days, but some new character i love immediately, like Danny and his wife in Corrie. I like the Slaters when they arrived too.

But the Millers leave me cold. There isnt one of them that i like.

I agree that the bed story is totally unrealistic. Why on earth would they want them to get away with it. The evidence was there and even the thickest of Police officers could have got a conviction. Sonia, you are so annoying. Are you saying that the super rich Jackson family never brought a second hand bed?. You are quite happy for them to get away scott free !!!!

I was on hols last week but I saw most of EE. The Millers were better than I expected (but then I expected them to be awful). Micky is the worst one of them in terms of character AND acting ability.

Thought the dad was a very good actor and the mum and kids weren't bad either. But as always the storylines let them down. The bed, the bench, Micky knocking himself out in the bath. Hilarious. Not.

And WTF have they done to Kareena? Who would wear such a flimsy piece of rag to a neighbour's afternoon bbq, she looked ridiculous and the producers/wardrobe dept should be ashamed of themselves.

They seem to be flogging the Millers to death, they should have had a more stepped introduction rather than being in our faces constantly.

I reckon Rosie and Pauline will become best mates

Granted the family can act - but they are just annoying personafied !!!!

and Authers bench being burnt down just felt like LB was sticking two fingers up at us - what a b*tch.

Arthur's bench is a representation of Eastenders post 1996 and for it to burn is a deliberate, tongue-in-cheek act to take out to show how much the producers are keen to change everything.

Really? Am I missing the sarcasm? Or do you really think that this (very accurate) symbolism actually enters the non-minds of the EE production team? I thought Arthur's Bench would more likely have been an excuse for Pauline to say "my Arthur..." at least once a week.

Well, their symbolism does usually arrive with hobnailed boots so I suppose it's a tiny possibility they were going for it.

But yes I thought it was just yet another unfunny way for the Millers to upset Queen Pauline, so that she and Rosie can continue their bitch fest.

Just noticed on Eastenders site character profiles that there appears to be another Miller daughter, Dawn. Also listed is an uncle, Clint, lets hope he's not the one who got Demi into trouble.

We've already been introduced to Uncle Clint ... he's the chap who helped them with the move and the owner of the Miller family mode of transport aka the clapped out ice-cream van.

He seemed a decent enough sort of bloke so I wouldn't have thought he had anything to do with Demi's predicament.

I missed the episode where they arrived. Have we seen the other daughter/sister yet?

Not yet Julie, and as far as I'm aware she's not been mentioned either.

i'd imagine that guy demi was talking to on the phone was the dad of her baby...

Oh yes. I wonder if that's why they moved to deliberately keep them apart. I was kinda joking about the uncle, a sort of Eastenders type thing to do!

well she was talking to what appeared to be the father of the guy she was actually wanting to talk to, as when the man on the other end realised ywho she was, he hung up. then she called the guy she wanted on his mobile leaving the message to contact her....
so reading between the lines id say the guy on the mobile would be the baby's dad and the man she actually spoke to his dad? maybe....

To late for that ,they have all ready done that

yeah they did get quite heated, but i presume that will means a full on fist fight? slaps and all!
