I just checked US iTunes, it's not in the iTunes top 1000, it might be in the iTunes pop 1000 but I don't know how to check that.

I wouldn't expect it to even chart in the US tbh. Hold out for the next single I reckon

I know i'm a bit late but... A 10-track album!!

If that's the case, there better be a deluxe edition with at least 4 or 5 extra songs. I don't see how she can only have managed to get 10 good tracks after 2 years of recording!!!

I was expecting 12 or 13 really good tracks.

If it is definitely 10 then i hope Collide isn't on it, as that isn't a great track in my opinion, good but not great.

I reckon thread 27 went by as one of the quickest. A very up and down thread it is true to say but lets up the ups

I have no problems with 10-track album. The only thing I don't like about everything she said is that they are actually skipping US for Collide promo. But whatever, moving on. Really intrigued by Fireflies and overall the passion of the album. I like how she seems to take over the control. Also, very interesting to hear about US and Europe touring plans that failed. I really hope we will get to hear what happened in the Echo era, why only 2 singles in UK, one in US etc. Great job Ryan!

In America for the next single which will obviously be the next one they need to do PROPER promo.

A few gigs then

Amazing video debuting on MTV, Perez, Just Jared etc

Follow this with as much press as possible (a couple of AMAZING photoshoots for top US magazines)

Then follow with Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, David Letterman and Chelsea Lately. The View and The Talk would be good too.

Lots of US XF hype followed by a huge big budget performance. Get the big buzz back that there was in 2008.

I just read on Rap-Up.com on the comments that Leona should make Adele type music, more soul and Ballads, seems she can't win either way, she gets called boring if she sings Ballads then she does something more up-tempo and still gets slagged off, I have read lots of comments saying she is reduced to trashy dance songs.

I would love to hear Leona sing Set Fire To The Rain though.

I am looking forward to Blank Page the most off the album I think, hope it is AMAZING.

Part 28!

I also love how we're challenging Matt's thread to reclaim the 'most active appreciation thread' title

Great work Ryan!
Maybe Leona has too many songs already and the 4th album in the making! Like she can Tour a full year and release at the same time

I'm looking forward to the re-release already.

I think Leona has managed to successfully advance on Christina Perri on Irish iTunes, when the pop bars update we will have a clearer picture.

EDIT: Yep, earlier she was virtually neck and neck with Perri but now has a 0.6% lead over her.

I think she's skipping US for Collide promo because it isn't the 1st single there. The fact they havent sent it for radio adds prove this. She'll 100% promote the 1st single and ofcourse the album there when it's released.

I keep thinking she's singing "I love you with my Glass Eye".

UK iTunes bars have updated:

The Saturdays have experienced some what of a big drop in the last update, Maroon 5 are catching up with Pixie. Leona has stayed stationary in the decimal figures, but that's not a bad thing exactly and Example has gained a tiny bit on Leona, but it's nothing to worry about for the time being.

Hopefully the ITV news appearance will give Collide a bit of a boost.

Well, I agree with those comments. It's about playing to your strengths not chasing trends as Leona is doing now. It's about making music that suits you as an artist (in Leona's case pop-r&b midtempos), music that rings true, and Collide just doesn't ring true and neither did most of Echo, it's not the Leona that was introduced to the public with Spirit, the Pop-R&b Leona.

Who cares what a tiny, tiny portion of the record buying public present online on various forums, twitter, etc thinks about Leona and her music. Similar things have been said about Adele, is she going to record an album of dance-pop to please this tiny minority? No. I wish people focused more on the real world rather than on YouTube views, twitter followers, comments on forums, etc. How can people say "she can't win either way" She connected with an audience on a world wide level with Spirit despite what the doubters were saying about her, much like Adele is doing now.

What is a complete mystery to me is why she abandoned pop-r&b, the genre that made her successful I'm guessing Spirit wasn't what she really wanted. In my opinion Leona's current artistic vision just doesn't work, it doesn't suit her and it's clearly not what radio and the public wants and expects from her. The latest interviews regarding "GlassHeart" don't instill much confidence in me, It sounds like Echo part 2 in the making to be honest. I hope I'm wrong, but unless she comes back with a killer pop-R&b midtempo I can't see her having any significant success.

As long as Leona is making the music she wants then i'll be happy, you can tell from the interviews she is really passionate about this album!

mm83 I can tell you will never be happy with what Leona does, the only thing she could do is release Spirit again!

It looks that way, and neither will the millions that bought Spirit. I certainly wouldn't want her to release "Spirit" again but it was the right blueprint, the right idea.

I think Leona would never please everyone in what she does though because a lot of people love her vioce but want her to record different styles of music, I myself if I am honest would prefer her not to do dance stuff, and at the moment my favourite thing she has done( apart from Can't Breathe) is the Better In Time/ Man Down mash up she did on the Live Lounge.

I don't think that the new album will be Echo part 2 at all, I am a bit worried there will be more Dance tracks, I keep changing my mind about the Glassheart song, one minute I love it then I am not so sure, will just have to wait and see. I hated Collide when I first heared it but it grew on me, I don't love it like I love her other songs though.

Lets just hope for the best. maybe they should just upload every thing she has recorded onto itunes and let people pick their own track list.
