I'm glad they changed it

Is it just me being slow or has this only just been changed?”

I think they changed it today.

I really do wish they had not put Collide on the album as
A most fans will have at least one copy if not many and

B Avicii will benefit but i guess that might have been a major contributor to (the settlement) ie he makes a packet from Album 3

Example have really gained on Leona now, they're quite ahead when both versions are combined. We might have to settle with #5 but Ollys experiencing some big gains now too so maybe #6.

I'm sure she will still be at #4 in the official charts, at worst she will be #5. Olly has no chance of beating Leona, even if he overtakes her on iTunes tomorrow, most of this weeks sales have already be 'done' as such.

I don't get this logic. If so, then it would be best for Leona not to release anything at all.

Labels release songs from albums to promote and sell their artist's work. The first single from the album is usually released well before the album. Fans and casual listeners buy it. Some also buy the album later. I think iTunes has "Complete the album" option, so those that buy the single from iTunes don't have to buy the same song twice.

Yeah, but I don't think EP sales are counted in songs charts, Leona is #14 and Example #76. But she will need to keep the gap at least until Saturday and it will be hard

Collide If I recall was a FUN summer single and I believe Not the lead single as such

It has brought results in raising Leona`s profile but I would rather we were offered 10 NEW songs not 9 plus Collide

especially if Collide is only on the album to satisfy Avicii!

I know they are counted in eventual charts but how can they count EP in itunes songs' standings and if so, I suppose they are counted in radio edit standings

It doesn't count towards it's standings in the iTunes songs chart I don't think.

Since Avicii was clearly in the right (as he won the court case) he deserves every penny that he is entitled to.

I don't think Leona would be contractually obliged to put the song on the album if she didn't want to. Surely the court case would be solely about Collide and nothing else.

I agree with the comment saying that if the album is definitely going to be only 10 tracks, I'd rather Collide wasn't on it. If it was a few tracks longer then I'd want it to be included on the album.

Do we know if the person on popjustice who said Trouble would be out on December 4th is reliable?

I've basically spammed some popular youtube videos with US itunes link to download Collide, let's wait for the effect it's #200 now. lol

they reached a ( mutual ) agreement that would be about Royalties etc and i recon Royalties from album might well be above Itunes sales ? guess in the end its all about money lol !

I think they made it up. They provided no source. It will probably be released on 20 November or maybe 27 November (the same week as the album).

Thank you

If 'Trouble' is out the week before the album and if radio play is going really well and it looks like it's going to chart high, they could go for the XF performance the day before the album release so that the album gets a bigger boost. But that can only happen if they debut 'Trouble' early on and not leave it til November.

I'd rather her be on The X Factor the day before the album tbh because Olly will be big competition.

Yeah, the only downside to that would be (if Trouble was out the week before) that she'd only most likely do promo for Trouble the week after it's release because XF would want it to be the first live performance of the song, imo.

I still can't get over that Olly sold 100k+ in his first week for album sales (I think?), he's even bigger atm as well so he'll probably do similar/higher with XF.

The only people who walked away from court with exactly what they wanted was SYCO.

As Avicii got his name alongside Leona's he was clearly in the right. He obviously thought he would make some money from Collide rather than block it. So I guess he got what he wanted as well.

To be honest, I wouldn't be sad at all not to see Collide on the album listing, but I don't think they will exclude it.

doubt they will exclude collide because I believe the Royalties due to Avicii from the album make it worth him being HAPPY TO WORK WITH LEONA as he twittered !
sorry to be a bit sarcastic but Someone sold fans out
guess I`d better shut up ban looming !
