I don't know what to make of the 10 track album, there's no point loading it up with crap and that's what worries me, I'm sure someone said it here before it sounded like they were well on their way to recording the album then seemed to stop and start again. Perhaps they've only got 10 decent tracks, which considering she's recorded probably 30+ tracks seems crazy. But we will have to wait and see, but if you look at Pixie's label you can see they've planned well ahead for this single, unlike Leona's lot who look like they make it up on a day by day basis. |

I'm quite happy with 10 songs actually as long as they are all amazing. I hope i'm wrong and there is no cover but she did work with Steve Robson

Makes a change for her to be interviewed by a proper hack and not some halfwit who plays records "What's Simon like!" Duh!
Great questions I thought and Leona gave some good answers.Yay for a new Ustream! The last one was so fun. |

![]() Honestly, when Leona said it, I did naturally react and said I wanted "my 14 tracks" lol. She did at least laugh, but she is really focused on it for some reason. Just have to respect that and trust her judgement on choosing 10 "strong" songs. |

I don't think there'll be a cover, not if she wants a solid ten-track album. It seems like she is actually demanding stuff haha.
I reckon there'll be a Deluxe though, Syco probably won't be happy about only releasing a 10-track album. Plus, you know people would buy the deluxe for the extra tracks. I'm perfectly happy with a 10-track album, I only listen to that amount on both albums anyway, or at least NOW on a regular basis, so it doesn't bother me at all. All we can ask for is that it sits well as a body of work, and the songs are cohesive and strong, which is what she seems to be aiming for this time around I'm still buzzing about the title track, it was such a good song live too. I can't even begin to imagine how that would have sounded in the O2 As Leona would say, AMAZING.

Hopefully it will be 10 original tracks and an added cover to make 11 tracks - similar to '21' by Adele.
Not that the cover wont be good but all the previous covers are some of my least played Leona tracks, even run (ducks whilst being pelted with Tomatoes by all the posters) |

Just got in and missed quite a lot it seems! I know everyone's already probably discussed all this so sorry if i repeat anything etc.
Firstly, great interview Ryan You had some great questions there! Dissapointed that going to Germany to promote is uncertain, she should definitely be over there! And she usually does quite well in places like Austria, Sweden, Netherlands I think so I was hoping for a few performances in such places. But hopefully they go to Europe when it comes to album promotion. Glad to hear she's going to Australia/Japan though. So basically Trouble will be the second single Not even heard it and I'm so excited/confident of it doing well And glad to read she co-wrote Glassheart.Hmm, 10 tracks! I really wasn't expecting that tbh after how long she's been recording/writing. But it's understandeable what she's trying to do with making sure there are no fillers etc. I think by picking a number like 10 she thinks every track will be really strong. I think it might be like one/two tracks over that though when the final tracklisting comes through. Syco are already probably planning a re-release for next year for her to launch on XF. I just hope they put the right tracks on and don't bin the gems! I liked her answer to the question about how the tour has influenced her. It seems to have affected the actual music she's producing (in a good way) as well as her performance skills. Collaboration on Fireflies ooooh! If it's a rapper, I hope it's Kanye West and not someone like Flo Rida ha. If it's a singer I really like the idea of Bruno Mars but who knows? I think it's more likely to be a British artist like Labrinth or Calvin Harris. Midweeks position, I'm happy with I think a few weeks ago I predicted #3 with sales of 62k so hopefully it gets similar to that in terms of the sales. Just think how it'll sell about 2/3 of how much Pixie will sell with 25% of the airplay she's had!Notice Pixie was on Scott Mills tonight, her team reaaaaaaally want this number 1! No plays on Radio 1 today hmm Sorry for the long post. |

I agree, she keeps doing these random things everyday. I'm sure they postponed the Capital interview until Wednesday on purpose but hopefully this means she'll have a few more things we don't know about planned for Thursday and Friday. Unless the Ustream is the Friday event, I hope she does This Morning/Lorraine/Daybreak/Loose Women or whatever on Thursday then.
They need to also make it clear to Radio 1 that they won't be getting the exclusive for the next single, that should go to Radio 2 (which hopefully it will be more a Radio 2 track) or one of the commercial stations. They need to work out what TV promo she can do (The One Show etc), personally I think her management should book her on to SCD if they can get it, tell Cowell to get stuffed, Take Fat did the X-Factor and SCD, she needs to be all over the TV. Cowell needs to stick his ego up his arse and promote his acts regardless of his petty squabbles with the BBC. They have to be so on it for this single release, I'm not going to be a happy bunny if they screw up again. |

^ Good shout with Labrinth. I'd be happy with that. I really don't want Calvin Harris or David Guetta or anyone like that. I'm not that keen on a rapper and I hope it's not someone bland like Chris Martin/James Morrison. My ideal choice would be Bruno Mars but it would be so unlikely.
