I`d go with Bruno Mars Too

If there are days they can't fill get newspaper interviews, the full works.

They need to also make it clear to Radio 1 that they won't be getting the exclusive for the next single, that should go to Radio 2 (which hopefully it will be more a Radio 2 track) or one of the commercial stations.

They need to work out what TV promo she can do (The One Show etc), personally I think her management should book her on to SCD if they can get it, tell Cowell to get stuffed, Take Fat did the X-Factor and SCD, she needs to be all over the TV. Cowell needs to stick his ego up his arse and promote his acts regardless of his petty squabbles with the BBC.

They have to be so on it for this single release, I'm not going to be a happy bunny if they screw up again.”

You are aware that her management can't just tell TV shows to give her a slot right?

Everyone seems to be forgetting that she has never said this is her BIG single to launch the album, she's been treating it for what it is "her summer song, that's a bit different, and a bit happy" - I don't think it's ever been planned as this huge thing. Trouble has already been sent out to receive feedback, and it's got nothing but positivity and no doubt they'll be saving all the big promo for then.

She needed a song to say she was back, and Collide's done that - she's back in the charts, with little airplay and barely any promotion, so the demand is still there, and I reckon TV shows will be wanting her left right and centre come October/November

^ Exactly. What's the point in Leona doing the TV rounds now and then not having anyone want her in 7/8 weeks time? That would leave us, and Leona, in a much worse position than she is in now.

I'm glad its only going to be 10 tracks, leave the listener wanting more. As a fan yes I can how this could be dissapointing but while as we can listen to Leona's dulcit tones till forever the casual fan won't be impressed. This album needs to capture the casual fan and start building up her fanbase again.

As soon as trouble hits the radio they need to start ramping up the hype and get Leona visable. To me it seems they're treating Collide as almost a buzz single!

On another note I'm not a huge fan of tonight's look its too Mylene Klass. They need to get her into some Versace, out of red lipstick and for the hair either poker straight or curls....Not waves, especially not for the red carpet!

Leona fell a bit and Example gained so #4 isn't for certain now. With Olly on Red or Black soon lets hope she can atleast stay top 5 until Sunday. Example also passed her on Amazon.

I wasn't talking about Collide I was talking about the NEXT single which is going to be the one that makes or breaks the album, because if it doesn't take off she won't be releasing a third one before Xmas and by the time they get around to that the album will have slipped out the charts.

This next single (not Collide) has to be planned like a military operation, no screw ups, no half hearted promo efforts, it has to be full on.

Are we sure the duet isn't with that bloke off Glee?

Although Example is catching up with Leona, The Saturdays are falling rapidly, their lead over Leona has dropped from 25.4 to 19.3 today and by midnight that would have probably dropped to around 17 and by the end of tomorrow it might be as low as 10-12. So hopefully Collide wont see a rapid decrease in popularity in the next couple of days, although Thursday usually sees most tracks start to tail off.

That was a great interview Ryan. I'm glad at least one interviewer can ask interesting non-generic questions.

Leona also gave revealing answers and didn't keep much information from us. So 'Trouble' and 'Fire Flies' are probably going to be the next two singles? I hope 'GlassHeart' is released after 'Trouble'. It's actually amazing!

Btw, I'm so over the moon that Leona's labels aren't releasing 'Collide' in America to radio. It must just be a straight-to-release buzz single. Hopefully the US album release date is delayed to early 2012 so they can do the Spirit release strategy again. Please do Syco/J!!!

I know people say she should stick with Australia and Europe and forget about the US but if she doesn't have huge (or at the very least big) success in America, she'll find it extremely difficult to find success in Europe and Australia considering they are majorly influenced by what is hot in the US. Just look at Jay Sean, Taio Cruz, Natasha Bedingfield etc.

That thought crossed my mind but I really hope not. I like Matthew Morrison but I can't imagine him singing a dance track and his solo career hasn't taken off at all.

In terms of release schedule, I'd like to see:

November - Trouble
Februrary - Radio friendly ballad such as Adele - Set Fire to the Rain
April - Glassheart
July - Fireflies collaboration

If they're doing a re-release then a single in October-ish time.

I think it would be best if they left the album til 2012 in the USA too but release a single in October/November there for now. But we've heard rumours that the album will be released around November 22nd there I think?

Yeah I think that would be perfect. It gives it 5-6 weeks before release so hopefully radio will pick it up and it'll be quite high up in the radio airplay charts.

Wow. Very interesting interview. So it looks like we're getting a ten track album? Strange...I mean after the amount of time they've worked on this album there must be around 30+ tracks they've done? But I think it'll work actually, if every song has something different and screams HIT then I'll be happy with a ten track album. But sometimes I do like fillers. I mean songs like "Love Letter" etc are definitely fillers but I still like them, it's nice to have some album tracks. I guess Leona just wants to come back with something really solid and epic and leave no room for critics to say anything bad about this album. Bring it on. Leona seems in a good place, and Trouble is getting me so excited.

In my opinion, the label are thinking along these lines:

Collide - Get a bit of a buzz back, re-introduce Leona with a dancey song (but nothing too "smash hit"), get her back in the charts, release a low budget video and do a few performances/radio interviews.

Trouble - Massive promotion, BIG comeback video, massive X Factor performance.

They're saving the massive promotion for the second single, which they are obviously relying on to sell the album. Collide was only to ease Leona back into the industry.

Same, I hope they don't leave it until last week of October/first week of November. Five weeks should be the absoloute minimum they leave between the radio premiere and the release and seven should be the absoloute maximum. So taking that Trouble will be released one week before the album, we could be hearing it as early as the 9th October!
