Trouble should hopefully perform much better than Collide for several reasons:

1) X Factor performance
2) Hopefully it will be promoted more than Collide was
3) Has quite alot of hype around it from what I've seen
4) From descriptions we have it sounds like an instant hit, rather than a grower like Collide

With all that considered it will almost certainly peak in the top 3, maybe even number one. I'm so excited to hear this because I can't even begin to imagine what it is going to sound like, at the moment all I'm basing it on is Emeli Sande's Heaven. What will make or break this song is whether it has 'a moment'. If it just plods along on top of a Massive Attack-esque accompaniment without doing much else it will go nowhere. But if the end of the track has incredible soaring vocals from Leona which will send audiences into a state of complete and utter awe, we could have another Run.

Collide rose to #28 on airplay (#44 last week).

Pixie up from #4 to #1. The Saturdays up from #18 to #14.

1D were #11 in their release week, up from #21. Matt Cardle entered at #35, Coldplay at #27.

The vocals are one of the things I'm most excited for. There's been a lot of Kate Bush references so I expect some chilling, haunting vocals from Leona.

I just re-read what The Guardian made of it and this caught my attention.

Quote:
“Her spectral vocal imploring "I'm a whole lot of trouble.”

If like me you didn't know what spectral meant it's synonyomous with ghostly and eerie. I really can't wait to hear it and we have around 2-3 weeks until we should.

Is Leona really "not at the height of her career anymore "? If so she wouldnt have been there very long I've been watching her performance of Run on XF. Always so proud of her and so hoping we'll get at least 1 more track of its calibre and success. (Does anyone know how it's doing now after last night's rise?)Though I'm getting scared to wish for too much now I desperately hope it's not too much to ask. If Leona doesnt rise to the very top again I'll never understand why!

I'm really hoping Leona pulls a Nelly Furtado. It's working so far.

1. First album (Whoa...Nelly!) big success sold mostly off of one song (Like A Bird)
2. Second album (Folklore) more organic in sound, less successful worldwide. Successful in select countries.
3. THIRD ALBUM WORLDWIDE SMASH!!!!!

Just because Echo didnt do well doesn't mean "Leona isn't in the height of her career" she's just at a low point. People always come back and become huge!! Look at Nelly or Mariah for example.

I hope the people who heard Trouble didn't just find it great because of the special music style. The song has to offer a great melody, amazing vocals and of course something fresh. Heaven (by Emeli) is an amazing song which just wows you but still Trouble simply has to be better. Who has written the melody for Trouble by the way?

I want people to help me bring this back to an APPRECIATION THREAD pls!

I'm happy about #10 this week,(any sales??) due to NO support by anyone really!

OMG I cannot wait for new material. I'm re-listening to 'Echo' and I have found a song I forgot a about, "Stone Hearts". Such a beauty of a song!!!!!!

Also, I came up with a list o possible collabs for "Fireflies".

Bruno Mars- Could be ok.

CeeLo- I would not like this.

David Guetta- I'm hoping for this most!!

Will.I.Am- no-one mention him?

Pretty sure that 'leak' was a wind-up or hoax. No one has heard 'Trouble' yet except a select group of journalists and industry insiders. Probably a couple of Leona haters on that forum pretending they had heard it.

Really want to hear Trouble. I hope it's as good as we're all hoping it will be. I really want her to get a No.1 with it too.

If they get the promotion right I don't see why can't be (obviously unless the song isn't good, but It's Leona so it WILL be )

#29 on UK airplay
#34 on UK commercial
#8 on UK TV airplay
#18 on Irish airplay (PEAK?!)

#14 on UK itunes (#15 actually as Examples combined versions are in front)
#12 on Irish itunes

Airplay could be all right in the first few days of the week, although lack of Radio 1 play will be notable.

That's interesting. I like Taio Cruz, I enjoyed he's first 2 albums. I wouldn't mind it being him, but for some reason don't think it will be.

Shouldn't be that long until we hear Trouble really. Four weeks tops, three weeks most likely, very slight chance in a couple of weeks.

I'd laugh if Fireflies was with some random guy we would NEVER have thought she'd 'duet' with, like Corey Taylor or Marilyn Manson haha.

Thanks for posting. Leona sounds beautiful. Particularly liked hearing her sing Grenade. Though I also love her belting, when stripped back Leona's voice is like no other. Sooo exciting to know that in not too long we'll have a whole album of new material. Can hardly wait! Hope we get lots and lots of live performances too. I never tire of watching Leona.
