The one thing I've noticed more than anything in these interviews is that she appears to be genuinely happy which is lovely. She seems very settled and the happiest she has been for a long time

I LOOVE '(I Got That) Boom Boom'.I love the fact that Britney can take something cheesy and make it a gem and that's exactly what she did with the Ying Yang Twins. They sound so wonderfully random!! (do I make sense?).I always appreciate the "wtf" aspect of Britney's songs, like the little laugh in 'GM' for example.

Anyway, I like MIAM but it just never reached its full potential.A collabo between Britney and Madonna SHOULD have been a masterpiece, but it just wasn't and maybe if it was Britney alone on the track, then the expectetions (and therefore the disappointment) would have been much lower. It just needs something more...can't put my finger on it...

I agree with you O.Michel on MATM. It was quite disappointing. I was expecting more.

It didn't really make Madonna look very good either. That video was a terrible mistake for M.

Oops...MIAM = MATM (I confused it with HIAM...)

i loved that video Britney was all "street" Madonna was all "sleek" it was a cool video that played to each others strengths and weaknesses really.

I kinda get what you mean a Pop Titan and Music Legend should have been more MASSIVE than what it was. I think if Mirwais produced MATM it woul have been a massive sounding record really, in style and pace as he had worked on American Life and his input would have helped a lot and Madonna should have had more but i think Madonna on it alone keeps it from being the "worst" so to speak.

Me Against The Music is one of my favourite Britney videos.

video link

The time it took me to find that video is ridiculous. There was a time when you could put the title into youtube and it would be the first video shown. now it's the glee version. I hate VEVO!

Are music videos being removed from youtube or something? It seems hard to find them nowadays.

That video is PERFECT! The 2 biggest females in Pop ever in one song and in one EPIC video! What's not to like!

I think some older videos aren't even on YouTube anymore!

So, the only thing they have to say about their product is that a lot of famous artists have starred in its commercials  It was good to say a short snippet of Britney slaying the Pepsi commercial, though. She just nailed it back then! That choreo and the little smile and oh the hair flip... ()

Is that person in the article serious?

I mean, I understood that maybe it was a little bit fresh for them after the riots, but then the whole "She should make a sizeable donation" bit? That's BS! After that it was obvious they were trying to earn some publicity/a few extra bucks!

It's not like Britney lead the riots or had any sort of influence (Even slight) in the riotting and is now giving a middle finger to those affected! Nothing associates her with them whatsoever. Crime has existed for thousands of year, gun crime for hundreds, the riots doesn't mean that they can't ever have a gun on film again.

By the way, when it was announced they were going to film the video in England I said " maybe she's going to recreate the riots!?" jokingly... am I psychic?

I never knew the 'Break the Ice' vid had a "To be Continued" at the end.....

Also just re-watched the 'Piece of Me' vid, and it's great, forgot how good it was actually.

What if the sequel of 'Break The Ice' was 'If You Seek Amy'??In BTI Britney (well, the cartoon Britney) was a total freak!!And I remember her sitting on a guy's lap and then suddenly jumping out of a window after an explosion. In IYSA Britney was also quite a freak inside the house, but when she went out with her "husband" to talk to the press, she looked tame and sweet.Maybe the cartoon Britney of BIT was on a mission and then she was hiding in her house up until the point when the cameras appeared...

(just assuming, I had never thought of that before...because I didn't remember the "TBC" sign, but now it's kind of intriguing )

I can understand to a certain extent about the gun etc. Popstars really go out of their way to shock these days, but it is NOT up to the popstar to educate children; that job lies with the parents of these kids. These popstars are in their 20s and therefore, adults.

They shouldn't have to think "what about the children!?" 24/7.

The people who agreed to the treatment should have thought about the riots, as I'm assuming these people are based in the UK as the video is shot in London. How was Britney supposed to know what had gone on?! Was it even reported on US television?

Wasn't Womanizer the unofficial sequel? It was never confirmed, but a lot of people were saying it was a sequel to Toxic, but Break the Ice was meant to be a sequel to Toxic! They have similar themes of different identities, different characters, and just Britney being kick-ass!
I can see like from the end of BTI, Britney survived but was injured, took a long time to heal, and then decided to settle down with the Womanizer from the video, but then old habits die hard and she can't help but punish him!

Definetely, but the quote itself is a little discouraging.I already knew that she wants to have fun and play around, which is a good thing because that playful attitude means musical evolution for her. However, performing wise, 7-hour rehearsals are not that fun, so this statement could mean that Britney wants to only do the fun parts of the job.It was just a phrase, so no fast conclusions, but I'm a bit...worried.
