It's a shame that this song didn't make it on the Femme Fatale album (song was recorded by Britney's demo artist BTW).

Abroad - awful. enough said. Could see this on the circus album
Everyday - fail to see the fuss on this. lacks emotion and is like a poor man's everytime Rockstar - could see this on britney or in the zone. production reminds me slightly of i love rock and roll 911 - Not amazing. Could see it on in the zone None of them are much to get excited. I can see why they never made any albums of hers |

Could see it on in the zone None of them are much to get excited. I can see why they never made any albums of hers - Abroad which was recorded for Circus is like a weaker Mmm Papi, and that's saying alot. Some catchy moments, but ultimately it's just a silly, unimportant song. - Everyday is lovely, but the melody and singing style is far too similar to Christina's Beautiful. The lyrics are nice; Britney co-wrote it so I get the feeling she was talking about her children, and seeing as it was recorded for Circus, I don't understand why it was dropped for "My Baby". Maybe it was the similarity to Christina. - Rockstar... I don't like whatsoever. It seems like it's from "Britney" and I didn't like that album or most of it's singles. - 911 is a bit bland. Fairly mundane lyrics and nothing new music wise. And you didn't mention: - Dangerous... I LOVE IT! It's like a fun James Bond theme! It sounds like Rock Me In which I loved, and word is that it was recorded for Femme Fatale, not Circus so it wasn't even a case that it was 2 similar songs on one album. It mightened neccessarily fit the edgey vibe from Femme Fatale though, so it's exclusion is understandable I suppose.

Oh dangerous. I had no idea of that leak
Listening to it. Sounds like a circus session song. It''s alright. But nothing special. I got a femme fetale vibe from it but it's isn't as heavy on production to be from it. I am not sure. Just a guess |

Apparentley Femme Fatale has topped 1.4 million worldwide, according MediaTraffic.
That's low, but it's not awful. I actually only thought it was about 1.2 million. It'll probably reach 1.5 million anyway, and once the video comes out for Criminal and it keeps getting radio adds and climbs iTunes (it looks like it's going to be a TTWE-style slow burner, but even slower), sales will continue.

I actually happen to think the opposite about 'Criminal'.I think it will either blow up (top 30 everywhere) or utterly flop and fall flat

I am very disappointed in the albums perforhmance. She is doing music that is exploding everywhere. The sad thing is, the music that is outselling her is terrible overproduced and so generic. This era for her is so different and i really thought Europe would be mad for it because it's a very european type album but still keeping to american roots.
Seriously, i have heard a lot of dance trash this year and i might sound biased because i am a huge fan but it's a generally good produced dance album. It has an amazing flow throughout as well. |

Femme Fatale is the Music Lovers Britney Album
![]() To be honest i do agree very much that Jive missed several opportunities with Britney for this era. I mean look at where she could have performed and how far they could have pushed the promo for the album to circulate and sell sustained globally! Rather than rely on Stateside promo and naff all....and then just world tour and radio interviews ere and there. Anyways, Till The WOrld Ends still gives me that shudder and electric vibes i got the first time i heard it. Definitely her strongest release from the album overall and should have been a global smash....its so anthemic! But to be honest Femme Fatale is becoming my most played Britney album (ITZ and Blackout are my most played over the years too!) I find it so refreshing when a massive Pop Icon mixes things up! And Britney really does. Oh a fans dream to have seen her headline glasto this year i mean she could have done so so much with that Pyramid stage! Stripped thinvs back, really put the album ON stage

It is a shame this album hasn't been received that well. I used to be a big Britney fan years ago and the last album I bought of hers was 'In The Zone' in 2003 and I thought 'Femme Fatale' was so improved from 'Blackout' and 'Circus' that I decided to buy it. Every song is strong and if there had been proper promotion everywhere, it could have done better.

It has this rustic, chaos feel about it. Its like her mental state is on record....cartoonish, euphoric, sonic, edgy, warped, unusual, fun! all in one massive production! It is MY mainstream artist album of 2011 by a long shot...i love Riri but i doubt ehr next album will be on par with FF...although i bet it will be slick. But i do wish they handeled it better as an era, critically it SMASHED her most positively recieved album i think! In a general consensus! So i do wish Jive took that on board. How I Roll Trip To Your Heart Trouble For Me He ABout To Lose Me Up N Down & gasoline NEED to be releases after Criminal definitely! i felt they should have had promo singles too like lady gaga did. Really ensure a couple of sonvs were released to radio as well as the actual singles...but hey! Music is always first and i am just so glad the album is EPIC Dance...EPICer

Mm-hm. Nearly every song could be a single really. I think 'Gasoline' is my favourite on the album. It has a good strong chorus and could be a great single.
The whole album is really poppy with memorable melodies which I like. I'm not too keen on the style of 'Blackout'. 'Circus' was nearer to her older songs but not quite there in my opinion and that's why 'Femme Fatale' was such a nice surprise. |

Femme Fatale i agree, it was a fantastic surprise as it exceeded my expectations tbh. It was a VERY Britney album, no one else could do it nor pull it off! But it mixed its sounds up too. Yes some intense hooks there, some slick production...very off the wall. SOme elements of Madonna, Prince and Old Skool Britney across the record which i LOVE....and it is 1000% her! which gets me down that hardly anyone has it or knows the album yet!

Actually, 'Circus' is a bit disjoint, but at the same time it's a brilliant pop album and it reminds me of Christmas 2008 and winter 2009
It's just so sassy, energetic and playful. And it was Britney's big pop comeback, so I loved it.It sort of feels like the folow up to 'Oops' in terms of the POP music and image, so it was a bit of a return to form. And also 'Mannequin' slays me! ![]() Now, does anybody else feel like 'Radar' didn't get the right single treatment. If it had a better video and some promo it could have been so amazing. And even though it's not one of my favorites, this track is an absolute monster. It could fit in on any Britney album!! (even on the first 2 with a different beat).Too bad it was just thrown out there for legal reasons (the writer had demanded that 'Radar' would be released as a single) |

I've listened to the leaked tracks mentioned in this thread. I'm glad they they didn't make the album, they weren't good enough in my opinion. Dangerous is the only one that I would listen to again.

Circus is hit and miss. But it's a rushed album. Her label were not happy with Blackout's sales and after she dealt with her problems, they wanted to milk more money to make up for Blackout's loss and get her another hit album. But the singles released from it were great. But the album just lacks that great flow in my opinion that other Britney fans had. It feels disjointed.
Radar should of been a hit and was handled terribly if Britney hadn't gotten comitted, therefore leading to an animated video for Break the ice and then that being the end of the blackout era. The video for Radar was awful. I mean really awful. It was a total flop but it could of easily been a smash hit. |
