They're my three favourite albums as well. I don't mind Circus and Britney but Oops and Baby One More Time are probably the weakest of her albums. The singles from her first two albums are pop classics though

Circus for me is her weakest album. It felt rushed after Blackout and it feels all over the place. Plus it's aged terribly apart from the singles she released from it.

Circus is her weakest by far and totally fractures the progression from ITZ to Blackout and sands as an odd album in her collection its like the cuttings from the blackout sessions remastered and re-released.

Britney Spears is officially a judge on the X Factor! Guess it won't be such a quiet year after all for Ms Spears. I hope she does well and says what she thinks and really gets into her role rather than become a puppet and just nod and say "Yes, that's good I like that", I really want her to bring out her personality, I just hope she does!

I'm worried that it could affect her negatively, it's such a 50/50 move. If she given scripts the critics will slam her as a robot Cowell puppet and I'm worried about the effect that will have on her mentally. It could work out fine and she could show bags of personality and be a real laugh and supportive and a fantastic judge though, which is what I'm hoping for!

Yeah im undecided about it too as i know she needs the exposure as of late her career has been on a downward slant but at the same time it could be damaging as the x factor usa if series 2 fails then out and its been plagued by problems and issues from the get go so for someone of her standing its a huge gamble dare i say she is kind of to big for the show like Madonna, or Kylie doing it they are just to iconic.

I think she'll just sit there & praise EVERYONE. Kind of what Ellen did for that one season of American Idol.

I am personally a bit gutted Britney has resorted to judging on a "talent show" which always seems to attract negative press mainly....but (UK anyway) huge ratings/publicity.....so i reckon this is a Jive (or whatever they are) idea tbh.

I mean like Hav said...i mean i am only a small Kylie fan but if she actually did The Voice UK as publicised i would have thought rather lowly of her tbh so glad she didnt....But Britney on X Factor i hope to heck it goes well and she shows off her personality! A 2012/2013 Blackout style album would be out of this world. I think we would get something of that direction if they let Britney be the EP and direct the show because when she gets her passion for music she can produce great records. I hope that her love for music is rediscovered whilst doing the XF. The last thing I want is for her to be a droid and praise everyone, I want honest, funny, personality Brit! I hope she can take the media/critic aspect of it, because once the show kicks off they will be following her big time!

Personally, this will be the biggest risk of her career, life thus far! its a gamble....does she risk getting a massive boost of attention Stateside...or even lose fans respect with this? Can it propel her worldwide much more than she has in recent years....i mean her biggest selling album in recent years is Circus with 3.5million sold! good for some but on what Britney could do.....X Factor could give her a massive launch as a home name again.

Now if Britney reignites her passion again having taken loads of time out already this year and then filming TXF this year/live shows n all I reckon her musical drive and passion will be reflected and hopefully it will bring out her humour, personality etc. It could be the "comeback" we have all waited for.

Not the "Danceney, Creativney, epicney" but the "personalityney" (no??) To prove no she aint "dead behind the eyes, android, scripted" I hope our girl does it.

I agree with Pinder its not music snobbery but with a career like hers if it goes [ete tong it will affect her professionally and personally really badly and she may find a second comeback much ore difficult if not impossible.

It is true though....I mean heck i will always root for her....but damn i hope this goes the positive scale...she is a massive Pop icon...id hate it to be just about the money...i want her to personally benefit from this....have something really positive become of it not on Cowells end but on Britneys too!

She would and could earn so much more respect for it overall too. I mean Christina it is different, Bionic slumped and The VOice was a massive turnaround and the hype is back on her in some respects again too...it can work for Britney definitely...and branch out from the fanbase too

Exactly that is what worries me Xtina needed it massively Britney needs something but is it this.

It can go really well and totally revitalise her career or bomb and relegate her to the pop icons of old she'll be sitting along the Donna Summers, George Michaels, and Chaka Khans of this world as in remember when they were famous .

Personally i hope Britney goes a Cher route...the thing is love them as we do....Donna, george, Chaka etc didnt recieve the heat, level attention at their peaks Britney did....and as a result Britney has ensured on promo or not her fanbase buys her new material and she ensures around a million or more sales worldwide on that alone....quite a feat tbh.

So Britney wont ever "fade out" so to speak, but as you say Christina avoided becoming that "cliche" by doing The Voice and this will result in much bigger sales than Bionic come album 5. Bt Britney does "need" X Factor...just a kick up the backside to make the world care about her again....i mean she aint music legend status.....but shes an established Pop Icon who is entering that next pinnacle of her career.....i hope this goes the right way.

well with Britney on it...there will be one heck of a lot more media surrounding TXF season 2 now....so it will be everywhere....personally i hope even if it is a success she wont be there for a season 3
