What do you mean by the Backstreet Boys ending on BOMT (the album)?

Interesting. My copy of BOMT is the 12 track version, my Oops is the 15 track Special UK Edition, my Britney (Slave 4 U album as I refer to it) has 14 songs with Before The Goodbye as a hidden track (or maybe they forgot to refer to it on the back cover of the CD), my ITZ is the 14 track one with The Answer, my Blackout is the standard 12 track one and my Circus, FF and Britney Jean are all the deluxe editions from iTunes. I managed to download all the bonus tracks I didn't have from elsewhere I also have loads of unreleased songs. I don't have the GH albums, I just downloaded the songs I didn't have on them.”

At the end of Beat Goes On, Britney gives a voice over thanking her fans, then goes onto present a medley of at the time "new" Backstreet Boy songs from their at the time forthcoming album, it's all a bit random tbh, I don't know if that version of the CD is rarer or not but I don't think it's a common version.
Honestly I wouldn't bother with the Japanese version of BJ, only has a couple of WB remixes.
The Blackout Japanese version is totally worth it though, it has I think four extra songs that weren't on licensed for release anywhere but Japan, I think one of them has since been put on UK itunes but not 100% sure on that, you may have heard them, they are "Get Back", "Everybody", "Outta This World" and a remix of Gimme More.
My Britney album has 14 tracks but BTG is not hidden, it's on the back CD cover but it isn't the last track, after doing some quick research it seems my version is the UK/Japan edition, no idea why BTG is hidden on yours though, like you said, could have just been a printing error, what is the track before BTG?

I found the BOMT ending I have:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Aki5lBzvHk

Oh right. I bought my CD way back in the day so I assume the one I have is the original 1999 version. I just had a listen to The Beat Goes on and mine doesn't have the BSB ending. It's the UK edition. I have the three extra tracks but I've never heard the Gimme More remix. I know Get Back and Everybody were put on iTunes here in Ireland but I had to download Outta This World from elsewhere I'm pretty sure mine is the UK/Japan edition as well but BTG is definitely not listed on the back of it. The track before it is When I Found You and that's listed on the back. I'm gonna take some photos of the back cover and the booklet when I get home and show it to you guys. Would that be a good idea? Then we can clear up this mystery once and for all.

Aaaah just did some quick research and apparantly only very early pressings of the BOMT album had the Backstreet Boys thing.
Yes pelase take some photo's, that'll clear some things up, I'll try to take one of mine as well, do you not have "What its Like To Be Me" on your copy of Britney? It's listed as the last track on mine, after "When I Found You" and "Before the Goodbye".

Oh right. I bought mine in the early 00s so it might have been a later edition, but it still has a 1999 copyright date. I will duly do that I do. It's the last track on the album and it's listed on the back cover of the album. It came up on my iTunes as well.

I bought my last ...BOMt CD in Woolworths in about 08/09 and it had the message not sure if my 2000 or 1999 copy did but I assume the 08/09 was an early pressing . And Britneys second to fourth in the UK were like the Japanese in that they had extras nit on other editions. Much like Australia and other areas later on had special editions .

TBH of each of her albums there has got to be about 3-4 different editions

Original DOll is forever one of Pop Histories mysteries....such a shame as i feel it would have bridged ITZ and Blackout a lot more to reflect her msot personal "era" branching over those 5 years of her life...but hey.

ALso yeah I think from 2000 until 2004 i got every Britney album released for CHristmas...i remember getting My Perogative and ITZ the same year for some reason...but i adored the MP hits collection a lot ...i didnt buy her second hits until it as cheaper in the elad up to FFs release.

And yeah i too find it strange that BJ doesnt have many songs performed at Vegas, it just makes everything seem strange...only 2 or 3 songs from the album per night and that is it? does not make any sense as to why they did it.

Ah I remember Woolworths. Used to buy all my CDs there before iTunes. Even when I moved to Ireland I would go to Woolies whenever I was in London and buy CDs there as they were cheaper than in Ireland at the time Yeah I don't know why the later albums (eg Blackout) didn't have the bonus tracks on the CDs. Annoying for fans I think there are different editions of each album. Some people collect them Haven't got around to taking the photo of the Britney album yet but I'll do that before I go to bed as I'm off tomorrow for two days and I'm not taking the CD along Taking the iPod though! I'll check my copy of BOMT again but I'm pretty sure it's a 1999 edition.

Original Doll whilst fantastic because it had the R&B urban sound of the time I feel would be less revered now. Accident or not what made Blackout so iconic is that it's the template for pop post 07 would original doll have had the same impact? And Bj is shit no other way of putting it JP it just is pants But that said B-FF was a trilogy so it was always going to be something special to start another era away from 07-11 just guess she had neither the time nor want .

Right, here are the photos of the Britney album (the album with Slave 4 U on it so nobody gets confused ) mystery:

http://oi58.tinypic.com/ifnc7b.jpg -> back cover of CD case
http://oi59.tinypic.com/9sqlxe.jpg -> album booklet

Notice Before The Goodbye is not listed on either of them and it doesn't say anything about special edition or anything. Strange

Hmm that is odd. I wonder if anyone else has got a copy like this? I shall research!

It is strange. It's strange that it's on the CD and comes up on my iTunes but is not listed on the back of the CD. When I first copied it to my iTunes I thought it was a hidden track.

Yeah it is strange. I'm wondering if it was a printing error or if the case was from the European version or another version but the CD inside is a UK edition?

It's probably a hidden track on yours and just that in the UK it was listed to entice sales Is yours enhanced too?
cnbcwatcher
11-04-2014
It could be Yeah it is an enhanced one. It has previews of Crossroads and AFAIK it also has the Overprotected video or something to do with Overprotected on it.

It's annoying that they release albums with different bonus tracks for different countries. For every artist, they should have a fan edition of the album with the various bonus tracks from each country all on as one. As for "Original Doll" it's a great name for an album! Britney Jean is a woeful name. I like the album but nowhere near as good as Blackout or In The Zone

Yeah it is. It's annoying for the hardcore fans like me who want all the songs. I had to download some of the bonus tracks from sites IT Law lecturers don't approve of Original Doll probably would have been a good album, but it will forever remain the biggest Britney mystery. I consider Blackout and In The Zone to be Britney's 'masterpiece' albums. They're also her most experimental and innovative.

It looks like our Britney's gonna get married in Hawaii: http://www.***************/article/2...in-hawaii.html

I thought she was supposed to be getting married in Graceland? Anyway I hope it works out for her and doesn't end up being another Oops I Did It Again moment like the last marriages

Lol... Yeah if she gets another divorce! That's the tabloid heading "Oops! I did it again!" . The amount of times that song title was used during her dark period 2004 - 2008! It must be annoying like the way Madonna is always referred to as the "Material Girl!" Madge has stated she would never have recorded the song if she thought the name would stick! Though britney prob just laughs at the Oops headlines now

How long do you think this marriage will last? I hope it'll last longer than her marriage to K-Fed. I just couldn't resist using the Oops I Did It Again joke My friends were shocked when I said Britney was getting married again. I've another question - is it possible for a Britney fan to hate Baby One More Time? I was talking to a girl the other day who claimed to be a fan but she said she hated BOMT and Oops I Did It Again Needless to say I was shocked as I thought it was an unwritten rule that all Britney fans (especially longterm ones like me) liked BOMT.

I loved baby one more time when it came out! Thought she was Americas answer to Billie piper! Lol. But as the years went on, I grew to hate the song as it was overplayed! Even when I bought her first greatest hits album I would always skip that track! But in the last year or so, I have grown to like it again! It's a perfect pop song with a killer hook and that song definitely made her! If "Sometimes" had been her first single, she would have faded into obscurity shortly after a few singles garnering minor success. "Sometimes" was a great pop ballad to follow up but wouldn't have been a strong lead single! The song and video for "baby" was the perfect debut single to launch her into the world and engrained britney into pop culture!

I hope that this marriage lasts, I really do. She deserves to be happy.

I need to hear Original Doll at some point. Anyone know if there is a track list available? That way we can try and find all of the songs
