It is evidence that he has been playing an effective social game. Polite and humble all the way, until pretense is no longer needed and with fewer players left in the House, he found it easier to win competitions.

I don't think Adam has played a killer game. Not at all. But I do think he adapted better than any of the newbies. I get the impression he expected to be the alpha male, but that expectation was dashed as soon as he saw ED, Jeff and Brendon (in alpha male order) walk in.

My point is, he didn't need to win any competition at all, other than the ones he actually has won.
