Our line-up is clearly better than DWTS version.

The next thing you'll get will be interviews with all the celebrities - it's on it's way !!!

The line-up certainly seems older overall than previous years. Not to be prejudiced but past seasons have shown that the older contestants (bar a select few) and by that I mean 50+ don't tend to be as good 'dancers' than the younger ones. I can name... maybe 3 who I might suggest are locks to be top of the judges panel. Makes me think this series will continue last year's approach of entertainment over pure dancing but who knows, I could be totally wrong!

IDK,

I think the BBC this year went for celebs that every audience member would like to see. If that makes sense.

Audley Harrison? Great stuff! He could be well funny to watch but if he does well I'm cool with that!

Rory Bemner too?! Another brilliant choice! I hope he does alright! He has some previous form as he played Tony Blair dancing against Gordon Brown in his satirical programme, Bremner, Bird and Fortune in their spoof version of this!

Very happy about Alex Jones being on there, she is gorgeous!

Chelsey Hawley? Did I spell the name right? Who is she?

She's Shanice (sp?) from Waterloo Road, the pupil who magically left school to become the school secretary, have a baby and give it to one of the teachers, before taking it back and it magically disappearing!

Every year we get posts saying how people have never heard of most of the celebs. Well, this year it seems to be the opposite. The celebs may not be A list, but people do seem to know who they are and since when did the show attract A listers any way?

The year Katie Price is on will be the year I stop watching.

Cheryl Cole - don't make me laugh.

Also the BBC have made it clear SCD will not be up against X-Factor this year, so there's no point in bring that up.

The age range of this year's celebs is a bit different, but it is a good mix of characters and people will still watch because they like watching the celebs being put through their paces week in week out. It could be that the show will be even more popular simply because the celebs are well known and a bit older. At least 6 of the celebs could be classed as 'hot' - not bad out of 14.

Looking forward to the show on Saturday!

I agree - it is a good mix this year. Somebody for everyone I think. Can't wait to find out the pro-celeb pairings.

Dan Lobb.....swoon!! However he does seem to be a 'dad' dancer when doing stuff on Daybreak.

Anita Dobson a Eastender legend. About 20 years ago. Some are celebrities and some will do well, and some who have TV committments will kill them having to practice dancing.

I am quite happy with this line up, more than I was expecting anyway. I think after the first couple of weeks I don't really mind who the people are as long as there are some good dances. I'm really excited to see who they will all be paired up with though, do we find that out on Saturday?

Anita Dobson -- possibly ok
Audley Harrison -- who?
Chelsee Hawley -- who?
Dan Lobb -- who?
Alex Jones -- who?
Holly Valance -- the one bright spot in the lineup
Jason Donovan -- eh
Lulu -- not interested
Robbie Savage -- who?
Harry Judd -- who?
Rory Bremner -- eh
Edwina Currie --
Russell Grant --
Nancy De...... (Fill in the gap) -- possibly ok

None of them make me keen to watch it, though I at least want to see how well Holly can dance.

I agree after all my moaning on the rumours thread I think the BBC did finally put together a good mix of celebs that I'm looking forward to seeing and I must say I'm mightily relieved that Greg Wallace isn't in the line up The only two I'm not keen on are Nancy and Russell but hey you can't have everything

Bring on Saturday nights!

I know fewer of them this year than usual.

I think its a good line up, it will certain make predicting hard in the King predictor game this year.

Could be a hard fought contest between some of the dancers, looking forward to the launch show
