I just thing she is outrageous and I have never been able to work out if she means some of the things she says or just does it for effect - maybe when she's on her own she kills herself laughing about what she said that day!

I don't know much about her, and so have no real reason to like or particularly dislike her. I do however like the fact that before coming to everyone's attention she had established a career which did not entirely rely on being decorative (although having said that, she has capitalized on it to fair extent).
I also suspect she might actually turn out to be quite a good dancer.

Well yes, that's why I said that she has capitalised on her appearance to some extent - so I agree she's not the greatest example of a high achieving woman, but maybe someone who has some substance.
Once the series has started maybe we can talk about the dancing (it would be nice), but I suspect from the BBC's choice of line up (some big characters) that personality is going to be a significant factor this series.

I don't know why I like her. It's subjective. I just like her. But that might change when I get to see the 'real' her when the show starts... I can't explain it, it's a male thing, I guess.

Hey, I was only suggesting that she wasn't a complete airhead, that's all. I wasn't yet planning to start an appreciation thread for her, or programme her voting line number into my telephone. Having an initial expectation of someone is no problem as long as it is open to revision. And knowing Sid from his previous posts, he keeps a fairly open mind and often revises his initial opinion
I do not believe that when you look at the line up for Strictly that each name is a blank sheet as far as you are concerned, and that you have no preconceptions at all. Is that really the case?
