Oh, I really do like the Michael and Christian scene, he may be incredibly twisted but I think he genuinely likes Christian
![]() May have spoken too soon though... a Michael, Yusef and Qadim team-up?

Hey JN
![]() He was even attempting to be a good father to Syed ![]() Him cuddling Kamil was so adorable And the little boy that plays Kamil seems to adore Nitin, they share these little funny looks all the time.....too cute!! ![]() I like Kamil better than new baby. |

Definately positive....because I am too
![]() ![]() Honestly, it seems to be no more than I sort of expected as it is all starting. I am not getting too worked up just yet, nope. They are bound to start off with this kind of draaamaa, but it will not be the whole thing. It can't with everything else being set up. But then again... I should really shut up until I've actually seen the whole thing /meeh... I'll think about it now anyway

I'm not loving the lounge wallpaper (is it a lounge-also has fridge, lonuge/kitchen?)
And the sofa confuses me-behind them looks like old whitey (bless) but wicker arms??? |

I thought that was the only place to have a party
You know, so there can be some dramatic reveal/accident in front of everyone on the Square  There doesn't need to be a massive reveal/accident. Just a jolly party. Just watched Michael have that weird breakdown in the boxing gym

![]() But Christian dealt with him brilliantly And looked ever so hot whilst doing so ![]() Quote:
I kept laughing at the we want Syed to be happy lines. Since when?
I like Kamil better than new baby. I think new baby will look cuter when being cuddled by her dads instead of creepy Qadim or clearly not really wanting to be a mum Amira!! Also if she pulls Syed's top down like Kamil did I'll be very happy!!

![]() ' at the fact that Christian was so friendly to him after what he did to Roxy. But, meh, if Jack is back to being BFFs with him after what he did to his wife, I can't hold it against Christian for not hating him for hurting his best friend's sister. I really liked Christian tonight He works so well when you see him with characters he doesn't normally interact with. Definitely felt like the Christian we know and love.

You've bred an evil child. It's time to take responsibility for that.
I can't comprehend how AWFUL that line was. "The only woman I've ever loved". FFS. As others have said, this line desperately implies partner love, romantic love, being in love. Syed would indeed be confused and find it difficult to articulate his love for a woman that fell outside of heterosexual affection but Christ, Daran could not have picked a worse line. It was like he was actively trying to not only confuse the viewer but contradict all past efforts to express the sexual and emotional shell which was Amira and Syed's relationship. "Where were you last night? You weren't there when I fell asleep." "I went to the cinema, by myself." or "It's just silent, we never talk" THIS is what happened. THIS is not the only woman you ever loved! Whilst we're on the subject, since when was Amira that delusional? Yes she was always an avoider, she after all got herself into a marriage anyone could have seen was superficial nonsense (separate from knowing Syed was gay), yes in her current situation, she will fantasise and convince herself Syed is yet again her saviour - but come on, she actually thinks that Syed wants her back?? She's an educated modern (in the death to feminism sense) woman who, despite her confusing emotions, will know what being gay means. I'm almost insulted for her that she was painted in that way a year on. Daran really does love writing women as bitches or fools and if it didn't perpetuate more nonsense I'd shake it off as simply more sexism, but it does, so I can't. The 'Amira and Syed - will they reunite?' was as subtle as a brick and just the sort of crap I was afraid of. This would be a great if it was done in the right way - Amira as desperate yet knowing this wasn't right, Syed as guilty with a sense of duty and religious and cultural pressure - but so far, it's been reduced to 'love' and all the crap that goes with it. Sigh. This was a long rant. Apologes. I liked your rant I'm prepared to give Amira a bit of benefit of the doubt, and give her post-natal depression (which would be logical), messing up her head. Sadly I think Daran's one dimensional woman-itis may have struck. BIB, this is my over-riding feeling about...well everything I have seen since last year. Essentially C+, could do better. Some interesting concepts with potential but not pulled off very well. The thing is, the love stuff irritated me, not because I think 'oh no Syed might really care for Amira, threat to Chryed' and this breaks my heart, cos a), obvs no (and b) it doesn't), but just cos I don't feel the writing works. It just feels kind of blah and 'writing by numbers' for me. But I'm a mardy biatch so I dot expect anyone else to feel the same way, best for you all that you don't! bon nuit, a toute a l'heure x |

Sorry, this from Question Time 9/11 Special:
'More Britons died in 9/11 than died in the 7/7 attacks in London.' Huh? Since when did this become a case of 'my terrorist attack is bigger than yours'? |

I'm hoping it will be at the AB, makes sense as it is Tam's business!! Although I guess it does also hold bad memories for Chryed!! If they have the reception at the Vic I'll just think of it as the place Christian first said ILY and therefore romantic!!
