Wonderful post

I guess its like what I hear people say all the time. Just because you're with someone else, love them, want to be with then forever, doesn't mean that you don't still love one or more of your exes. Of course you still love them, and that's without the guilt that is mixed in with Syed's feelings. But that doesn't mean you'd ever get back with them, ever, doesn't mean that you don't want to be with the person you now love forever.
Syed wants Christian.
They will come out the other side together, whatever happens along the way.”
I agree totally

I think they'd be doing a disservice to all of the gay Muslims out there if they made it seem as though Syed could go back to Amira.”
another great post that sums up how i feel

But he isn't.
I don't think this will be another Christian vs. Amira situation. It's more complex than that. I think we'll see that when it comes to the actual episodes as opposed to these snippets, where really all they're trying to do is hook people into the storyline and get them interested (they know what might hook in the masses)
So, yeah, I'm focusing on the performances and the body language rather than the words. The numpties won't, but that's the numpties loss, not mine *shrugs*”
With out a doubt, the love shone out tonight

I do think whatever happens Chryed will come out the other side stronger than ever Syed may have loved Amira as a friend/sister....but he is gay and he loves Christian, it was true when he said it on 3rd December 09 and it's still true now
Christian is the only one for him, and vice versa :./my attempt at (cheesy) optimism!!

Syed loves Christian full stop

I completely love that final Chryed scene on the undersized wicker sofa. Honestly, Syed's feelings are not ambiguous.”
no please bring back the sofa

BIB: Ahhh, me too. Its clear Chryed love each other, its clear Qadim wants Syed nowhere near Amira, baby or not, and now Masood has accepted it's Christian his son wants to be with. It's a month till we see ATO so it's surely more of an 'escape from dad' scenario than a "i must tell Syed I love him and het him back". Yusef will stir and Qadim will threaten but I'm not seeing love triangle either
So glad others on my wavelength!

I am on the same wave length as you as well

oh god the sofa

That's a huge difference.
Christian is also the 'first person [Syed] has ever really loved'.”
The only one he has loved as you are meant to love a erson you are attracted to

Odd for me as I can be such a pessimist but tonight really didn't bother me that much. I can see why it did for some though.
Just remember guys, Preeya is around for a short stint. Marc and Johnny are around for the duration so what ever they're about to go through, will sort its self out.
It goes without saying, I don't want either of thier characterisation to suffer over the next few months, just to accommodate Amira's return. It needs to be made abundantly clear to the audience that while Syed loves Amira - in his own way, he doesn't love her in a romantic way. Christian is the love of his life. He is the one who makes him stop breathing, gives him a jolt of electricity every time they touch, and heart feels like it’s ready to burst at the sight of him. ALL SYED's WORDS. Writers, please remind the viewers of this!
The worst case, but understandable, scenario would be Syed feeling a sense of duty to Amira and his child. He also bears a lot of guilt over what happened and will bear even more when he finds out how she's been living her life these past 18 months. I can see Yusef twisting the knife, Christian heartbroken and Syed torn between his love his duty. Yes, there may be a bit of backwards step with Chryed. I suspect it but I feel, if well written it can be excellent. It's not just Amira anymore. A child changes everything. However, I don't think even a child will be big enough to split the pair up. They will both get hurt but their love will find it's way back to one another.”
utterly with you x
