You have to admit, the first few episodes of a programme like popstars or the x-factor are always the best. You get to see all the weirdos and tone deaf people make complete fools of themselves on national tv. Who tells these people they can sing? What was going on with those twins who looked like Maxine Car and danced like a couple of 10 year olds??? That simon Cowell lookalike had me in hystericks . Ill probably stop watching when they get to the 2nd auditions. Booorrring

It's been mentioned before that some of the 'terrible' hopefuls are let through on purpose by pre-production judges just to be destroyed by the 3 big judges. It keeps them amused.

They looked nothing like Maxine Carr....they were quite gorgeous...and I;d take them over the seemingly endless lines of identical girls doing tedious extended one line takes an hour whilst pretending to be full of angst R+B....

If I had a record company I'd sign up Sarah and Laura, aka ‘Gemini’.

Sadly I don't have a record company.

Joking aside, when I saw them before the break I honestly thought that it was going to be a case of geeky (but sexy) twin sisters who turn out to be really good singers.

Oh well.

With an excessive amount of computer manipulation those two gorgeous gals could sing just like Alex Parks...

All i can say that i think shows like pop idol and x factor arn't acutally talent shows.

I, myself applied and the produceers scored me off before i even opened my mouth.

i think the shows are they're to make fools outta people and it's also now a lazy way for singers to get noticed. instead of working at demos and writing albums they choice to apply for the show.

Just to keep anyone up to date with what has happened to Gemini since the X-factor :-

Photo shoot for the magazine Closer
VIP trip to the One Big Weekend in Birmingham with Radio One
Photo shoot for teen mag Sneak
Comments for Granada TV documentary on Simon Cowell

and coming back down to earth judging a Karaoke competition in Burgess Hill, West Sussex this weekend.

There's just no stopping them.

Sorry maybe i'm missing something here, but what's so special about them & why all this coverage?.

It seems to be that they are getting this coverage out of sympathy because of how bad they were on tv.

Anyone in the Burgess Hill area on Sunday night (3rd October) is more than welcome to come along and see Gemini.

The pub is The Junction in Junction Road and the fun starts at 8pm - more details on www.screamersdiscoandkaraoke.co.uk

The more the merrier.
