Is ITV Player on ANY TV???

The way it's done on a PC forcibly breaks from the programme stream at intervals to playout some adverts. This isn't like BBC iPlayer and would need extra support from manufacturers.

its on Virgin Media (without Ads) and Freesat TV's and set top boxes. They had a test for ITV Player no so long ago with an ITV logo in the xmb.

According to the Sony admin on the Sony forum.

Sony give out the Spec of their machine to broadcaster and the broadcasters have to develop the system for the Bravia TV's like IPlayer and 5 on demand have done.

He infered that it was ITV / Channel 4 who were not giving it priority as Sony would like it to be there as a value added item on their sets.

He did mention about the BBC coming out with something new that he could not give details about.
