McCains Chippity Chips
I usually make my own chips but fancied trying these Chippity Chips, which I seen in the supermarket.
It says you have to fry them, but doesn't mention cooking in the oven. They look similar to their oven branded chips. Surely I can cook them in the oven, even though it says to fry them? |

If it says fry them they won't be coated in oil so you'll have to fry them.
If you do them in supermarket veg oil they're not too unhealthy and will taste great. |

Usually the only difference between oven and fry chips is the amount of oil in the product. Oven chips have more oil on the surface to help cook & brown.

If they're anything like McCains ovenchips they'll not be any good. I urge you to try Aunt Bessies - they are so much better.

I prefer home made chips, made from Maris Piper potatoes and deep fried in Rapeseed oil using the two stage method.
