I'd also take issue with your use of the word always.

But never let facts get in the way of an adverse comment, about a fellow poster, eh?”

You have a very suitable screen name, DOGhouse. Y'know. Dog. Bone.

Lulu will certainly be polarising.

I do like her but when she was on ITT last year (during the Friday Panel for week that Paul & Ola danced a Rumba to Rihanna) she was a wee bit irritating- swaying her head and shoulders to the song in what I imagine she thought was a sensual fashion.

In contrast, after you've re-read your original and unsolicited post to me, perhaps the word "Observer" in yours, seems slightly inappropriate?

If you were familiar with classic film noir, you'd be more likely to understand mine.

Despite the fact I like her music (Shout is one of my favourite songs), she works her socks off, still looks fantastic and is a very astute business woman - I can't stand her.

As a fellow Scot I'd like to say she is one of the worst ambassadors for Scotland - ever.

BUT I did grow to like a couple of people who took part on the show that I didn't like before, so there's always hope. Not much though.

On a related note, what dances can one do to 'Shout' - are we looking at a quickstep option?

Remember it has already been used by Karen and Ramps as their show dance in the series 4 Final!

Well they could always do this for a Comedy relief special.

I actually have no opinion on her whatsoever (neither positive nor negative - but just zilch). So I will have to wait and see.

Erm...no. Don't you know everyone is allowed an opinion even though you might not agree with it?

I can't bear her either! I'm even wondering if I will be able to watch the programme with her on it!!

Don't know if I will watch this year with that woman in it - she just gives me the urge to smash her face in and i'm not remotely violent.

I'm expecting a lot of "cougar" storylines around Strictly this year

Lulu (with her previous rumoured track record) will be first in the line for the Annual "Picture of Celeb hugging Pro Outside a restaurant" tabloid event.

Don't give them ideas, although that wasn't Lulu, it was Little Eva and Kylie!

I absolutely can't abide the woman. The quicker she is off the show the better I will like it.

Hello, Buddy! *waves*

I could have tolerated her had she not ruined her face. There was very little wrong with how she looked previously, so why she had to cave into a badly executed procedure that just makes people look not younger but very obviously unhappy with who they are is beyond me.

And yes, I am aware she isn't the first contestant to have had this done. But because of her public profile, it's much more noticeable than, say, Pamela Stephenson. (And also less noticeable because of the shape of Lulu's mouth now ... which is plain distracting).

Lesley Ash should be a walking advertisement for why nobody should have that kind of work done to themselves. Each to their own, obviously, but, at the same time, people can't expect to have work like that done and then for nobody to comment.

I will keep an open mind, but I can't see me becoming a supporter, either.

If she really does have a fiery temper, however, and the producers put it on screen (from training footage, for example) for the purposes of fabricating 'drama', I can't see viewers being particularly enamoured with her ...

Spoiler
I think her reputation as a bit of a diva is pretty well known (more than one person has said she is a nightmare to work with), which might explain why the producers have paired her with Brendan, rather than the more logical choice of Vincent. Expect fireworks!

Oh God no. I loathed her in the 60's...' Yer Makeme wanna SHOOOOOUT' Aw Shurrup. And she still irritates me today.

Whenever I see her interviewed she sets my teeth on edge, especially with the constant change in accent. She is often talking about her super duper career over the years and being a survivor etc but my perception isn't of someone hugely successful in the music arena - although I do think she has a good voice.

Does anyone remember that thing years ago (really showing my age here) with Sheena Easton, who was then an unknown looking for a break. Lulu was unkind to her - said she'd never make it and couldn't sing, to give it up etc. She then went on to have several big hits and was quite big in America!

What was the name of that programme........shuffles off to find reading glasses so can read the small writing on google.....

When I wrote the last paragraph of my earlier post, I hadn't stumbled across the pairings spoilers thread - but your post (which led me there) rather confirms what she's there to do.

And I don't think the GBP will like it ...

I love Lulu . . . . that's until she opens her mouth to talk of course!

If her partner is who they say then there surely will be fireworks. I reckon she'll be good at latin but she's too bouncy for ballroom
