It will be very interesting to see how she is perceived, and what we get to see from the training clips. I know several people who have worked on one of her tours and without exception they all say she is an absolute bitch to everyone behind the scenes. Then of course we get the public personna of trying to be bubbly, happy, still "girl next door type" in interviews etc. which really sticks in the craw.

I would think she has the ability to actually perform quite well, especially in the latin; and is very well known by a lot of the typical Strictly voters which gives her a head start in the popularity stakes. But if she acts the prima donna and we get to see it, she'll be murdered in the voting!

Can't stand her AT ALL, she's very fake and OTT about herself. Looking at the line up, only Holly Valance stands out as an early frontrunner.

I am firmly in the camp of "cannot stand her" in fact I was seriously considering not watching at all this year. But have decided to watch with the "mute" button firmly in hand for when she starts that totally fake Scottish accent.

I can't bear her fake American laugh and attitude but puts on the Scottish accent if it will help her get sympathy/make her seem like 'regular wifie next door'.

I think the most recent time I caught her on TV was 'Loose Women' where they asked her how she still 'manages to look so good at her age' and she talked about her skincare and products.

If she was just more honest about the extensive work she's had done instead of claiming it's 'soap, water and a good night's sleep', she would come across as a nicer person.

So, having seen the show, what's the betting we can add Brendan to the list of people who can't stand her?

I find her so irritating, particularly the accent, which as has been mentioned, goes all over the place, from mid-atlantic to Billy Connolly in the same sentence! Not much of a Brendan fan so hope they have a fairly quick exit!

I think the producers knew what they were doing. Brendan can be charmingly petulant and stand up for what he believes to be right. He will not be a walkover.
