I thought I would start a thread for the very talented singer and beautiful Laura Broad.
It is Laura’s natural flair for performance, stunning looks and down to earth nature that has earned her a rapidly growing online fan base, with over two and a half million views on her videos, and gaining tens of thousands of followers on her YouTube channel, ‘Blawah2000’.
With her pure mezzo soprano voice, likened to that of modern days divas Leona Lewis and Mariah Carey, twenty five year old Laura soars through her multi octave range easily performing a wide repertoire of music from classical crossover to pop and rock.
Laura has not only attracted fans on an international scale, but respect among her peers, winning Sony's Official Leona Lewis singing contest in Feb 2009 and being invited to work on many exciting singing projects at home including in Glastonbury Festival (John Peel Stage), Tower of London Festival (performing with Eurhythmic’s, Dave Stewart), Northern Irelands largest unsigned VIBE festival, and international projects in Pakistan, Europe & the USA (Washington & Los Angeles).
During her successful run singing and dancing in the Supergroup live on FIVE TV’s 'Don't Stop Believing' with Emma Bunton in 2010, she received high praise from Award Winning choreographer Charles Klapow (High School Musical/Michael Jackson) for her incredible stage presence and dynamic vocals, ‘You’re rock star ready’ as he put it. Laura also beat the likes of award winning Ellie Goulding to the top spot of BBC Hereford and Worcester Radio’s, Artist of the Year 2010.
Laura is currently working on her debut solo album and hopes for an online release later in the year and from popular demand has popular YouTube covers readily available on iTunes.
