Evening again. As I think I mentioned before I hadn't watched EE in years until I got curious about the C&S storyline and did a massive catchup one weekend in Dec '09 (lucky me, I started to watch it live the week after they split following Masood's crash!) so I was wondering what the pacing was like back then? I'm guessing the stop start nature of things has always been there? I know EE has a big cast but it is a shame they can't work things a little better so that people don't disappear for weeks on end. I'm wondering if there was quite an intense period when they were on screen a lot when the relationshup first started or was it more of a gradual build up over time?
The pacing has always been the Chryed story's downfall for me. It used to be better, but it's never been great. It's pretty much always been quite bitty and blackholes have always plagued us. The stop/start nature has always been an element of the story, though I think it's become much more pronounced under BK's tenure.

The most intense period where they were heavily onscreen was during the reveal. They never really had consistent screentime like that before or since.

Looking forward to the new chapter hun, sure it is fab
I'm hoping to make myself write this week and get something onto FF....no promises though!!
Thanks sweetie

Just couldn't help myself and had to reply to person saying (underneath Daniel's article) that they find it "incredibly patronising" that "some drooling Chryed fangirls" (paraphrasing here) want to make a donation to Stonewall...

I find it patronizing to be called a a drooling fangirl by someone who probably hasn't even spent one minute on this forum...
So sad that they don't recognize a genuinely good thing when they see it.

Thanks Jenn & Clarkie for the usernames!

If you fused Gary and Kelly together you would have the perfect X Factor judge.

What TV snacks do Chryed like? Christian probs avoids them due to being a gym bunny but I can see Syed eating Malteasers, Mini Chedders, halal pic n mix......... /tenuous linkage to Chryed.
I love all of your Chryed links

Did we ever figure out what they were eating on the sofa when Christian was making a list for the adoption? They looked like jelly babies but then they have gelatine in so...

Yeh it stinks.

Reveal was generally really good. The anticipation was immense on here and it gave us SBM *sob*

Yeah, I thought it had to be more than that - surely a full body massage would be really inappropriate right by the window?

Unless he's massaging Christian. Such a beautiful sight must be shared with the world.

Random Question - does Syed have his own massage room in the salon? I need to know for fic-fic-ficcage.
Thnks it's upstairs ...I remember he coming down the stairs with Tanya saying there were shampoo bottles all over his treatment table ....I think!

Evening Chryedville, haven't had a chance to catch up today, any new news?

Update on my laptop for those who I expressed my frustrations to:
I ordered a new adapter on Thursday evening and had to be out all day yesterday and came back to a delivery card, so have to collect it from the sorting office tomorrow!
I growelled in frustration but am grateful my mum is lending me hers for as long as needed (she has no choice in the matter really as no one is keeping me away from you lot and Chryed)
so hope by lunchtime tomorrow my laptop will be back on top form!

Big hugs to all in Chryedville xxxx

Except for the reveal itself, basically, yes. SBM, perfect moment, Masood telling Christian about pregnancy, Hebden Bridge, 'how can you possibly make me feel worse than I do right now?' 'I can't say it back' etc. There's so, so much good there. Goes to show what good screentime can do for a storyline.

So true!! Remember hoping the black holes would get better with BK but like you say the stop/start nature of storylines has gotten even worse!!

I was wondering if I'd missed some golden period of consistent and prolonged screentime but I guess not! I was watching properly by the time the reveal happened (and trying not to laugh too much at the histrionics of "these lies" and the overwrought leg grab and slide!) and, although somewhat rushed in the end, I suppose it was over a good few weeks. Just such a shame it was all way too soapy in it's execution!

I loved everything about the reveal period....apart from the actual reveal ep!! Although there were a couple of good things in that, Prince Tam saying 'I thought it was really brave' always makes me smile...he must have been just as shocked and confused as everyone else but he stood up for his brother regardless

Clarkey, I've sent you a PM

I've just realised I've repeated myself a couple of times, so please ignore that xx

And good on you for answering... although it might be a minefield... sometimes numpties will just be numpties and you'll have to leave it at that.

YAAAY for you almost finishing a chapter too!/xxxx

Just to add, when I say soapy in execution I only mean the actual reveal itself - all the build up was fantastic.

I really like that scene, - much quieter, much more suited to the story, for me.

I also like 'no, I wouldn't.' But that... is about it. It's such a shame, because when you watch NYD, you know they're capable of such amazing stuff. It just makes the bad stuff even worse when you think of the wasted potential. Let's hope the upcoming stuff is more NYD than reveal, eh?

I just laughed so hard at 'My Immortal' that I started crying. It was the Snap was spying on me and he was taking a video tape of me! And Loopin was masticating to it! moment that just killed me. Literally, I think I'm having proper hysterics.
