You know, watched in isolation - ie without Amira melodrama and the worst juxtapositioning since the concept was invented - the Chryed scenes are nice. Written by a ten year old, painting by numbers, but nice. Helped hugely by the fact Syed looked like an angel (of sex).

Well 202 was certainly an eventful thread.

I am glad I'm not the only one who is ok as was feeling a bit in the minority. I really feel for those who are feeling bad, hope you will recover a bit by tomorrow. Chryed's love for each other shone through for me, well and truly, and it was lovely to see Christian being so supportive of Syed's feelings and being kind to him, when he was consumed with guilt. I adored them both. I won't go on any more, as no doubt annoying lots of people.

Changing the subject from the red button scenes, I loved Christian's scenes today with Michael, (turn down the camp dial) LOVED him there! And the scene with Kat and Alfie was nice, we said we wanted more interraction with other characters. I enjoyed the main EE a lot as well. Loved the Masood scenes, and Zainab is such a fool, she looks very dazed and out of it these days though.

I did laugh at Rose saying yes to the invitation for Yusef because she thought he might take her, blatently obvious or what? LOL.

Amira's clearly not literally a prisoner, she could easily have and would have found a way to escape, had she so chosen.

The way I see it, passively or otherwise she has been agreeing to the restrictions set by her father because in her own mind she has no other option. She's shamed, her self-confidence has been destroyed, she's been told by Qadim time and time again, and probably now believes that she's damaged goods, can't imagine that there could be a different, better, new life for herself outside the confines of those four walls, her father and the baby which I fear she is struggling to love.

The message from Syed has spurred her into action...Ironically, while he is at least partly responsible for bringing her so low, he may also be the one who is able to help her move on by the time the s/l has played out.
