Wow new thread again. You guys are motoring through these threads at the moment.

I didn't post yesterday after the episode partly because it was rather a lot to process. I wish they wouldn't squash his important scenes in between other newbie shite!

I was hugely impressed that he managed to say "I'm gay" to his son. That must have been the hardest thing Brendan has ever done.

By the way those of you who were hoping when he took off out the door to see someone that it was Ste. I felt exactly the same way. But really his body language should have shown us he was in a rage.

I really didn't like the scene with Rae. I know this is all to make him look as guilty as hell but the way they have underwritten Stephen at this crucial time is bothering me.

I am so hoping they have a proper moment between them before he is carted off! Tonight please HO! I have been such a good girl. Pretty please!

Hm I'm not sure, actually.

Is it tonight that Lynsey goes into the woods, and asks Nancy to go with her?


ETA: I hope we get at least one scene between Ste and Brendan before Brendan goes off to prison. I'm not expecting one, mind.

Me too. I think both characters deserve to be given a few minutes together to know where what has just happened leaves them. Probably nowhere knowing HO!

They do like to torture us.
I will be gutted if they don't have any screen time together before he is arrested.
To my mind the characters will have been criminally underwritten and shortchanged!

They spend a ridiculous amount of time and money on feckless preggers Mercy and her tumultuous sex life and can barely give us screen time for the best characters in the show. They are mean!

Oh, I'm glad you pointed out he's not actually mentioned in the spoilers for tonight, that gives me time to lower my expectations. Quite a lot.

Hey y'all! So I delurked a few weeks back but haven't contributed anything since! Here are some of my incoherent thoughts on yesterday:

Rae is insane. Brendan really wasn't asking all that much and her reaction was way OTT. And her whole "all the stuff we talked about" thing to Ste, when? Like 3 months ago? She hasn't been around for any of the recent issues. Don't really care about the outing as such, but the way she was carrying on about Ste and Brendan was stupid.

Great coming out scene. Emmett really is tremendous. As mentioned above, we're not even sure we're getting anything today, but I'd like a bit of "so how long have you known" and "are you and Ste together?" etc from Deccy and a bit of "how would you feel about me with a man" from Brendan. I think Declan addition has been decent, but ridiculously strung out. No mention of why he's been there 4 weeks now and it's not like Silas can use the gayness thing against Brendan now given his nearest and dearest all know, which also leads to the fact of why the hell didn't Lynsey mention that Bren was gay when he came on to her??? AAAGGGH HOLLYOAKS!!!

You could be right, that gets Declan out of the way before the whole murder thing kicks off. I will be a bit gutted if Brendan's not in E4 at all tonight.
