Quick Justice Leage #1 question

Just read #1 and have a question (hence the title) - when Bats first meets Green Lantern he refers to something GL has done with the airforce (or something like that), indicating he knows of GL activities elsewhere. Has DC already started the thing I kinda hate - refering to things happening in other comic-lines, making those with small wallets fully aware that they're missing out ?

Possibly - I spotted a reference to the not-yet-released Superman #1 when flicking through JLI #1.

They could be cross story telling, or referring to the as yet unrevealed new origins, it's hard to say atm.

^Yeah, I might be jumping the gun a tad

as for the "will I be there for #2" question - well the art defn won me over so yes... but seeing Superman without his red trunks :wtf:, that just looks soooooo weird and wrong.

Also, the prospect of Bats going up against Sups, well that just leave me salivating.

Yep, it seems that many of the new lines are running in parallel but the staggered release dates means that you have to wait.

I don't mind stories running in parallel. I just don't want them to be CONTINUALLY referenced in the titles I end up following - be like them rubbing in just how meagre(?) my funds are :grrr:

That's why I'm sticking to Swamp Thing and Animal Man

I don't know if I'd read too much into it. Batman is the world's greatest detective, I wouldn't be surprised if he's familiar with someone like GL, and Hal Jordan's activities in the air force will have been documented, so I would just take it as meaning that Batman knows Hal is a bit of a twonk.
