Sony bluray players come with iplayer I believe - probably other brands too. The PS3 also comes with iplayer.

Connect the computer you are posting from to the TV with an HDMI cable or failing that an VGA cable and headphone audio cable.

Thanks gomezz but I was thinking more like a set top box type of thing rather than tying up my computer. This is so I can continue to use my computer while the wife is catching up on the progs (:yawn that I'm not bothered about.

Humax Freeview or Freesat boxes have BBC IPlayer on it, so has BT Vision boxes or Virgin Cable boxes, plus Games Consoles like PS3, etc and Blue Ray Players

If you have a satellite dish installed, the Bush HD Freesat box has IPlayer now, ITV Player due by the end of the year and 4OD and Demand 5 anticipated next year. Cost £70.

If you can wait until next year, your broadband provider TalkTalk may be able to offer you a subsidised YouView box containing the above catch-up services and others too.

You only get iPlayer-Lite that way. A limited selection of the available programs and only higher definition is available rather than the HD version you get with the full iPlayer experience. If you want full unfettered access to what is available on the internet rather than the crippled services you get using what the AV manufacturers deign to let you have then you need to use a computer. I use a dedicated nettop.
