goodmans tv audio scart out
frosty

hi, i have a goodmans portable tv with a scart in/output. i also have a dvd player and a hifi with audio inputs.

i wish to have the audio output through the hifi of whatever is on the tv (or dvd).

i have thought about using a scart -> scart with audio breakout.

however when testing the output from the scart (with two seperate standard scart leads) one gave the required output while the other didnt output any audio (only video).

if i was to buy a scart -> scart with audio breakout, how would i know if it would work?

is there a better way of acheving the above?

thanks

I take it your tv only has one scart socket?
You could try a scart splitter box.
Make sure you get a "fully wired" one, plug the scart plug into your tv, connect a scart lead from your dvd player to one of the sockets, and a scart - phono from the other socket to the hi fi.
