This was a brilliant series, & given what the announcer said, I'm assuming there won't be any more, which is disappointing seeing as there are loose ends that need to be tied up, (I'm thinking especially about Andrew not yet knowing that Siobhan faked her death - I want to see his reaction to finding out).

How exactly did Siobhan escape from the penthouse apartment when the lift wasnt working & she would have had to run down the same flight of stairs that the FBI ran up!

Rubbish ending to an average series. Good riddance.
Maybe she shimmied down a drainpipe....

There was enough time between Bridget entering the picture and the FBI coming in. Clearly Siobhan ran down to the next floor before hearing the army of FBI agents coming up from below, so she ducked into hiding on that floor until the FBI passed, and then took her chance to leg it. Well, that's about as likely as anything else that has happened in the show so why not

The voiceover person seemed pretty definite that this was the end - which was entirely expected given the state of the numbers in the US. I however have enjoyed it immensely, the guilty pleasure elements have all been in place and it's never been dull, which is certainly refreshing this season.

The actual finale was obviously very rushed by the end, but covered just about enough to be satisfying I think. The major stories were exposed, and Henry got punched - so the important bases were covered.

Probably true but announcer was jumping the gun saying it as the various American websites covering that type of news still haven't heard of a decision either way .Deadline Hollywood even said SMG's pregnancy was a complicating matter not a deathblow even though they anounced renewals of The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and 90210.

Does anything come out of your mouth that is actually the truth?

Crazy end to this crazy series....Loved every minute of it....but it did hurt my head.

Season 2............I don't think I could take a second season.

"I never intended for it to go on this long"

I'm sad this series is unlikely to get a second series. To me, it just feels very incomplete - the twins never even came face to face.

Everything was left in limbo.

Agree the last episode felt sort of rushed, i guess Malcolm really was killed then?

Although i'm not hopeful of a second series, i'd like one to wrap all the loose ends together

I enjoyed every bonkers minute of Ringer and it was nice to see SMG in something again as i loved her in Buffy

Yeah... Don't think it helps matter that SMG is pregnant
CW always end up bringing in new shows which get cancelled after their first season. I honestly think they should stop bringing in so many new programmes every year and give some of the new shows they already have a chance

CW haven't renewed any of their new shows yet and 2/3 are likely to get cancelled

I mean look at their dramas from 2008 onwards
90210 (2008–present)
Privileged (2008–2009)
Easy Money (2008–2009)
Valentine (2008–2009)
The Beautiful Life (2009)
Melrose Place (2009–2010)
The Vampire Diaries (2009–present)
Nikita (2010–present)
Life Unexpected (2010–2011)
Hellcats (2010-2011)

3 are still on air Everything else only got 1 season.

Well that was some ending.
I really wanted Andrew to accept Bridget and them to be happy... *wishful thinking*

Such a complicated show, should have been given more of a chance, despite it being a bit bonkers, it was still great to watch.

My final thought was..... wait for it....

Where do we go from here?

(I know! Clever or what )

Not sure how they'd drag it out another season. Good to see SMG back on TV but in something else next year, please.)

I half expected this too, also expected Shiv to walk in on him & Bridget, but no.

I guess Season 3 would have been Shiv trying to get her old life and Andrew realising it's Bridget he wants to be with, although of course, the plot wouldn't be that straight forward!!!

The final episode was brilliant, such a shame it wont come back. Because there is loads we still need to see:

- What happened to Andrew and Julliet, will they ever forgive her?
- S said that she wanted her old life back while looking at her child, would be interesting to see that.
- Is Malcolm dead?
- What about Olivia? She couldn't have just been let go like that. (unless I missed something)
- I personally wanted to see Agent Machado to find out he was helping Bridget all along.
- The confrontation

Also, there was a poll made about what show people want to see back at the CW. Ringer was ahead of the votes with 38% out of the 7 shows listed.

Also the finale received 1.20m, yes low for the US and a bit low for the CW, but LA Complex got 540,000! And I reckon that may get renewed. (and it's only on the 3rd episode!)

They jump the gun. All of thier ratings are shocking and I personally think every showthey try unless is starts as weak as 'Beautiful Life' should be offered a 13 episode renewal in its second year incase it can pick upviewers and have some mid-season replacements.

I mean aside from Gossip Girland Ringer (and VD but thats higher) all of their shows have such similar ratings. They must be gutted they cancelled some of thier earlier shows now like 'Reaper' which done pretty well considering.

I must have missed the official announcement of that. A quick search tells me only that it is "likely". Do you know something we don't?

Hi, just joined and saw this thread. I had been watching Ringer, and hope it will come back (although I guess it's unlikely).

I started watching it because, frankly, I had a thing for Ioan Gruffudd, although it turns out that I only really like him in Hornblower! I did find Ringer addictive viewing, even if about halfway through the season I got a sneaky suspicion that it wasn't really very good (but somehow still enjoyable!)

Disappointed with the final episode though. I appreciate that they originally had a three season story-arc planned when they wrote it, but if it doesn't get another season, then the ending was a let-down. I was really hoing that Siobhan and Bridget would come face to face. And Andrew still doesn't know that Siobhan faked her death, or that he is (presumably) the father of the twins. Also, we don't know if Malcolm is really dead or not. I was so surprised when the show ended with Bridget just saying, "Siobhan wanted me dead?" that I had to check to make sure that it wasn't just another ad break!

The last that I heard, the final decision has not yet been made and Sky's announcer was definitely premature.

I skip past everything up to the start of the show so I don't know what he/she said

Why leave so many loose ends? (Well it's obvious why, money in the hope of getting another season).

The sensible thing would have been one season and finish properly. They almost got there, replace one of the fillers with one after the the finale and it would have been fine.

Ideally most shows would be designed to run for one season, if they are popular and there is enough for more then by all means have another season ore more but this leaving things on a cliff edge where they may or may not be renewed is the worst of all worlds.

Can I ask why you bothered with it?

I never cease being amazed by people that seem to have so much time on their hands that they watch something (22 episodes) that they consider poor, perhaps they need a hobby?

I watched it for SMG, and I know there are quite a few Whedon fans who also watched it purely for SMG. Turning on Ringer for an hour a week whilst I'm doing work at home isn't exactly a strenuous activity!

I thought that Tyler Barrett was the father of the twins.
